Abstract

A device for concealing mail comprises a rectangular shaped body which, when folded twice at folding positions 8, will become semi-squared in shape and free-standing. The semi-squared shape may have three horizontal longitudinal edges 4 and two vertical edges 5. The outermost part of the vertical edges 5 may be folded over once or twice, allowing the sides to be retracted shorter (Figure 3), or extended back out to their original length. The device may have four fastening positions 7. The device may stand freely when folded into an inward position. The device may consist of a rigid material that can be folded, with the width along the horizontal edge equal to that along the vertical edge. When placed in a doorway under a letter box (Figure 5), it obscures delivered mail from public view, making it less obvious that there is no one at home when mail goes uncollected during a holiday or vacation.

Detailed"Description
A' mail concealment device as shown in figure.[i] comprising of a rectangular Shaped body when thily extended. The device will have identifiable folding positions [8] and when folded at the two folding positions (8] into an inward position the rectangular shaped body will become a semi squared type shape with three longitudaihorizontal edges [4]andtwo verti cal edges [51; The outerrnostpart ofthevertical edges [II may be folded over into an inward position once or twice allowing its length to be shortened or extended back outward making its length originally longer again. The vertical edges [5] have four fastening positions of contact located on the inner side of the. vertical edges two on either.side of the device [7] which will ensure that the devic will remain fastened into place. When folded into an inward positiOn at the two folding positions [8], this will enable the device to sand freely. The device will consist of a rigid type material. The width along the horizontal edge and vertical lengths edge of the, device wifl be equal in measure. and will contribute to the devices ability to be free standing. a. . * . * * ** *
