Description

STAND FOR SUPPORTING AN ENGINE INJECTOR
DISASSEMBLING APPARATUS AND AN INJECTOR
DISASSEMBLING ASSEMBLY COMPRISING THE SAME
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a stand, more particularly, to a stand adapted for supporting an engine injector disassembling apparatus on an upper cover of a cylinder head of an engine.
Description of the Prior Art
A conventional upper cover of a cylinder head of an engine is usually formed with two projections for accommodating camshafts, and injectors are disposed between the two projections. The injectors extend downwardly from the upper cover and are in close fit with the engine. Since the injector is composed of plural parts, the operating angle of a conventional tool for disassembling the injector is very limited due to the two projections. Therefore, it requires a great quantity of manpower and time for disassembling the injector, and the parts of the injector is likely to be damaged during the disassembling process.
The present invention is, therefore, arisen to obviate or at least mitigate the above mentioned disadvantages.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The main object of the present invention is to provide a stand which can be mounted on an upper cover of a cylinder head of an engine and stored rapidly.
To achieve the above and other objects, a stand for supporting an engine injector disassembling apparatus of tile present invention is adapted for being mounted on an upper cover of a cylinder head of an engine, wherein the stand includes a base and at least two supporting mechanisms.
The base is adapted for an engine injector disassembling apparatus mounted thereon.
Each supporting mechanism is adjustably mounted to the base.
Corresponding to the base, the two supporting mechanisms are adjustable between a first position and a second position. The two supporting mechanisms are under the bottom of the base and positioned on the upper cover when they are located at the first position, and the two supporting mechanisms are away from the upper cover when they are located at the second position.
Whereby, the stand of the present invention can be mounted on an upper cover and stored rapidly, so that all the parts of the stand do not have to be disassembled once they are assembled. Therefore, it is quiet convenient and can prevent the lost of the parts due to the modulized design of the stand.
The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, which show, for purpose of illustrations only, the preferred embodiment(s) in accordance with the present invention.

As shown in Figs. 3 and 4. a stand I for supporting an engine injector disassembling apparatus of the present invention is adapted for being mounted on an upper cover 2 of a cylinder head of an engine. The upper cover 2 is formed with two projections 21, and with a plurality of receiving slots 22 formed between the projections 21. Each receiving slot 22 is adapted for receiving one injector 23 which includes a plurality of elements (not shown). The upper cover 2 is formed with a plurality of first positioning members 24 projecting thereon. The stand 1 is adapted for an injector disassembling apparatus 3 mounted thereon. The injector disassembling apparatus 3 is used to disassemble the elements of the injector 23 from the receiving slot 22. The injector disassembling apparatus 3 is mounted to the base, and the combination of the stand 1 and the injector disassembling apparatus 3 forms an injector disassembling assembly As shown in Figs. I to 4, the stand I includes a base 4 and two supporting mechanisms 5. The base 4 includes a first transverse bar 41 and a second transverse bar 42, and there is a gap 43 formed between the first transverse bar 41 and the second transverse bar 42. The gap 43 extends in the longitudinal direction of the base 4 and runs through two ends of the first and second transverse bars 4!, 42, wherein the first and second transverse bars 41, 42 are separated apart from each other and not integrally formed. Tn other embodiment, the gap 43 may not run through two ends of the first and second transverse bars 41, 42, that is, the first and second transverse bars 41, 42 may be integrally formed. The first and second transverse bars 41, 42 each includes a top, a bottom and two lateral sides, and includes two through slots 411, 421, respectively. Each supporting member 52 includes a transverse beam 521 and two vertical posts 522, wherein each transverse beam 521 includes two sliding slots 521a extending vertically and running through the top and the bottom thereot and the two sliding slots 52la are near two end of each transverse beam 521 in the longitudinal direction, respectively. Preferably, the two sliding slots 521a extend, respectively, in the longitudinal direction of each transverse beam 521 for a distance and are long and narrow. Two fourth positioning members 55 slidably penetrate through the two sliding slots 521a and are fixed to the respective tops of the two vertical posts 522, such that the two vertical posts 522 are slidably disposed at two end of the bottom of 1 5 the transverse beam 521 respectively. Each vertical post 522 has a positioning hole 522a formed at the bottom thereof The width of the opening 513 is substantially equal to that of the transverse beam 521, such that each transverse beam 521 can be disposed into each opening 13. Each transverse beam 521 has a through hole formed at the intermediate portion thereof The through hole extends in a direction parallel to the transverse direction of the transverse beam 521, and runs through the transverse beam 521. One of the two third positioning members 54 is disposed through the through holes of the two sidewalls and the opening 5 13, to secure the transverse beam 521 to the second portion 512 of the connecting member 51. When pivoting correspondingly to the base 4, each connecting member 5 I can drive each supporting member 52 to move between the first position and the second position.
When mounting the stand 1 on the upper cover 2, two the connecting members 51 are pivoted around the two second positioning members 53 correspondingly to the base 4, respectively, to drive the two supporting members 52 to locate at the first position, meanwhile, the transverse beams 521 are located at the bottom of the base 4. The positioning holes 522a of the vertical posts 522 are then aligned with the first positioning members 24, respectively, to fix the vertical posts 522 on the upper cover 2, and all the second, third and fourth positioning members 53, 54, 55 are screwed tight, as shown in Fig. 3. Finally, the user can mount the injector disassembling apparatus 3 on the base 4 to complete the fabrication of an injector disassembling assembly. Whereby, parts of the injector disassembling apparatus 3 can be disposed through the gap 43, so as to disassemble the injector 23, as shown in Fig. 4.
As shown in Figs. 1, 2 and 6, when the stand 1 is mounted on another type of upper cover 2' (as shown in Fig. 6), the stand 1 have to be adjusted to locate at a suitable position since an injector is located at a lower position. The second positioning member 53 through the L-shaped slot 514 is relatively moved from the first section 514a to the second section 514b, so as to move base 4 downwardly to keep the base 4 and the injector 23 apart in a suitable distance with which the injector disassembling apparatus 3 works.
As shown in Figs. I, 2, 5 and 5A, when storing the stand 1, the two the connecting members 51 are pivoted upwardly around the two second positioning members 53 correspondingly to the base 4, respectively, to drive the two supporting members 52 to locate at the second position, meanwhile, the transverse beams 521 are located above the top of the base 4, and preferably next to and closely contacts the top of the base 4. Whereby, the stand 1 is in a folded state and easy to store.
The present invention is easy to store and quickly to turn into an usage state, thus saving time for mounting it to the upper cover 2 and being utility.
In addition, each connecting member 51 includes one the L-shaped slot 514, the through slots 411, 421 of the first and second transverse bars 41, 42 are long and narrow, and the sliding slots 521 a are long and narrow. The base 4 can be vertically adjusted correspondingly to the two supporting mechanisms 5, the distance between the two supporting mechanisms 5 can be adjusted, and the distance between the two vertical posts 522 of the two supporting members 52 can be adjusted, so that the stand I can be mounted to different type of upper cover.
