Abstract
250,268. Kitajima, I. April 4, 1925, [Convention date]. Lenses.- Comprises a combination lens of variable refractive power made up of two or more cylindrical lenses having regularly increasing refrangibility from one end to the other and arranged crosswise so that by sliding one with respect to the other a variable power is obtained. Each of the component lenses I, II, has an upper convex surface of constant curvature and a lower conical surface of decreasing curvature from the end B to the end A. Several examples of combinations of these lenses are described in the Specification, in some of which the lenses are superimposed so that the refrangibility of one lens is reversed with respect to that of the other.
