Abstract

250,180. I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.- Ges., (Assignees of Farbenfabriken vorm. F. Bayer & Co.). April 3, 1925, [Convention date]. Insecticides.-Horticultural insecticides, such as calcium arsenate and insoluble copper compounds, to be applied in powder form, are mixed with small proportions of compounds produced by treating alkali cellulose with the alkali salt of a halogenated fatty acid such as chloracetic acid, as described in Specification 138,116, [Class 2 (ii), Cellulose &c.), so as to promote adhesion to the plants. Mixtures of insecticidal powders with molasses or flour are referred to.
