Abstract

A rehabilitation device has a mat 2, supports 4 and elastic straps 6. The mat 2 provides a surface for the user to lie supine, the supports 4 are attached to the mat 2 and each support 4 has an elastic strap 6 attached at a support end 10. The straps 6 are attached to a belt worn by the user around the lower back area and tension in the straps causes sustained user lumbar flexion. The supports 4 may be adjustable in length, pivotally attached to the mat 4, and may be folded flat. The mat 2 may be folded up for storage. The whole device may be portable.
