Abstract

249,610. Austin, J., and Smith, H. Dec. 30, 1924. Drawings to Specification. Corrosion, preventing.-The interior surfaces of surface condenser tubes and the like are coated, after being cleaned and dried, with a medium forming when dry a tough protective layer, which is sprayed on by means of an air jet. Preferably the medium contains bitumen or the like plastic substances mixed with a drier liquid. According to the Provisional Specification the material sold under the registered Trade Mark " Bitumastic " is suitable for the process.
