Abstract

A multiple sided digital advertising unit comprises multiple LED LCD screen displays 1, multiple printed media dispensers 2, multiple printed media displays 3 and scrolling LED display 4. Air intake vents 6 allow cool air into the unit and exit through the air output vents 5 built into the upper level roof 9B positioned above the lower level roof 9A. A access door 12B is provided with key locks 7. A detachable circular lid 10 is provided to allow cables to pass through the top of the unit.

Digital Advertising Unit This invention relates to an adaptation of a digital advertising unit.
Most conventional digital advertising units are recognised throughout industry as an effective choice for impulse advertising. However they tend to rely heavily on the memory of the target audience and on word-of-mouth marketing. Further they are limited by their inability to be conveniently taken away by the audience for greater thought or consideration into future purchasing. Digital units are increasingly paving the way forward for the next generation of advertising to provide a new source of promotional media and latest current affairs.
A digital advertising unit consists of a LED (light emitting diode) LCD (liquid crystal display) screen display encased in a box-like structure, which allows the unit to play digital based advertisements, such as digital images or video. These digital advertising units are advancements to the popular light boxes, which use printed-based media with a few advertisements attached to a rolling banner looping in its course of operation.
Conventional digital advertising units are typically one or two sided resulting in less coverage of advertisements aimed at the target audience. Typically impulse advertising relies mostly on audience attention and awareness to specific products or services being advertised. The more dimensions, or sides, the digital advertising unit has the more attention and coverage of the target audience is reached.
To overcome these problems, the present invention proposes a multiple sided digital advertising unit with inbuilt print media dispensers. Further the unit contains an LED (light emitting diode) scroller system and print media displays.
The digital advertising unit will provide a multiple dimensional appearance so that advertisers can reach all major viewpoints. There are also multiple print media dispensers per side located on all sides; this enables advertisers to distribute their printed media to their target audience and to display the print media being distributed. The print media provide the audience with an opportunity to decide whether or not to take away the printed media.
The LED scroller system is positioned at the top of the unit, assuming a borderless appearance, with text scrolling along the unit providing useful information to the target audience.
The digital advertising unit is equipped with air intake vents located at the bottom of the unit placed on all sides. This allows cool air from the bottom of the unit to be passed inside the unit travelling upwards to minimise heat damage. The unit is also equipped with air output vents located on the roof of the unit also on all sides; this allows the heat generated from the inside of the unit to escape via the design of the air output vents on the roof.
The roof of the unit contains a detachable circular lid located in the centre of the roof; this allows entry for cables to flow through the unit. The base of the unit contains multiple rubber feet, which allows the weight of the unit to be distributed evenly when placed on the floor and restricts damage to the floor and unit when in transit.
The digital advertising unit can be opened by the front side of the unit; there are section cuts located around the front of the unit so it can open and close freely as the front door of the unit. The front door of the unit can only be opened with keys with key locks located at the front of the unit.
The invention will now be described solely by the way of example and with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure 1 shows the proposed invention of the digital advertising unit shown from a front side view from one side, Figure 2 shows the proposed invention of the digital advertising unit shown from a back [rear] side view from one side, Figure 3 shows the proposed invention of the digital advertising unit shown from a left side view from one side, Figure 4 shows the proposed invention of the digital advertising unit shown from a right side view from one side, Figure 5 shows the proposed invention of the digital advertising unit shown from a perspective view from front, Figure 6 shows the proposed invention of the digital advertising unit shown from a perspective view from above, Figure 7 shows the proposed invention of the digital advertising unit shown from a perspective view from below, Figure 8 shows the proposed invention of the digital advertising unit shown from a plan [roof] view from above Figure 9 shows the proposed invention of the digital advertising unit shown from an underneath plan [base] view from below.
In figure 1, the digital advertising unit includes an LED LCD screen display 1 positioned on the centre of the unit; this also can be found on all sides, these are designed to show advertisements. Print media dispensers 2 is built into the unit, positioned below the LED LCD screen display 1, these print media dispensers 2 allow the advertisers to distribute their printed media. Print media displays 3 are built into the unit positioned below the print media dispensers 2; the print media displays 3 are designed to advertise the printed media.
An LED scroller 4 is built into and around the unit to give a borderless appearance, located above the LED LCD screen display 1 and below the lower level roof 9A. The LED scroller 4 has many light emitting diodes which allow the LED scroller 4 to scroll text around the unit. Air output vents 5 are designed into the upper level roof 9B, which are positioned on the top of the unit above the lower level roof 9A. Air intake vents 6 are designed and shaped to allow cool air to enter from the bottom of the unit, which are positioned below the print media displays 3. The key locks 7 are used to lock the front door casing 1 2B. Key locks 7 are positioned and built into the front door casing 1 2B. Section cuts 8 are designed to allow the front door casing 1 2B to open and close freely.
The lower level roof 9A is built around the top of the unit and is located above the LED scroller 4. The upper level roof 9B has air output vents 5 built in; and is built around the very top of the unit, which is located above the lower level roof 9A. The unit is encased by an outer main casing 1 2A around all sides; however the front door casing 1 2B is built into the front of the unit to allow access to the inside of the unit.
Figure 2 shows the proposed invention in an alternative view, which shows an LED LCD screen display 1 positioned in the centre of the unit. This also can be found on all sides and are designed to show advertisements. Print media dispensers 2 is built into the unit, positioned below the LED LCD screen display 1, these print media dispensers 2 allow the advertisers to distribute their printed media. Print media displays 3 are built into the unit positioned below the print media dispensers 2; the print media displays 3 are designed to advertise the advertiser's printed media.

In figure 5, the proposed invention digital advertising unit is shown in a perspective view from front, an LED LCD screen display 1 positioned in the centre of the unit these are found on all sides and are designed to show advertisements. Print media dispensers 2 is built into the unit, positioned below the LED LCD screen display 1.
These print media dispensers 2 allow the advertisers to distribute their printed media.
Print media displays 3 are built into the unit and are positioned below the print media dispensers 2. The print media displays 3 are designed to advertise the advertiser's printed media.

This detachable circular lid 10 when detached from the unit allows cables to flow through the top of the unit. The unit is encased by an outer main casing 12A around all sides; however the front door casing 12B is built into the front of the unit to allow access to the inside of the unit.
Figure 7 shows the proposed invention shown in a perspective view from below, an LED LCD screen display 1 positioned in the centre of the unit; this also can be found on all sides and are designed to show advertisements. Print media dispensers 2 is built into the unit, positioned below the LED LCD screen display 1. These print media dispensers 2 allow the advertisers to distribute their printed media. Print media displays 3 are built into the unit positioned below the print media dispensers 2; the print media displays 3 are designed to advertise the advertiser's printed media.

At the base of the unit 13 multiple rubber feet 11 is attached, positioned evenly to provide support for the weight of the unit when it is upright and restricts damage to the floor and unit when in transit.
Figure 8 shows the proposed invention of the digital advertising unit shown from a plan [roof] view from above. The lower level roof 9A is built around the top of the unit and is located below the upper level roof 9B. The upper level roof 9B has air output vents 5 built in. The detachable circular lid 10 is built on top of the upper level roof 9B. This detachable circular lid 10 when detached from the unit allows cables to flow through the top of the unit.
Figure 9 shows the proposed invention of the digital advertising unit shown from an underneath plan [base] view from below. The base of the unit 13 has multiple rubber feet 11 attached to it, which supports the weight of the unit evenly when it is upright and restricts damage to the floor and unit when in transit.
