249,497. Soc. of Chemical Industry in Basle. March 19, 1925, [Convention date]. Quinolinic anhydride is prepared by heating quinolinic acid with acetic anhydride at a temperature below 100‹ C. A catalyst, such as pyridine, hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid, acetyl chloride, a phosphorus halide or an acid salt, may be present. Examples are given.
