Description

TITLE: POSITIONING DEVICE FOR DRILLING [0001] The invention relates to a position device for drilling and, iii particular to a drill positioning device that utilizes its bearing to absorb vibrations from drilling.
thereby avoiding abrasion.
[0002] A conventional drill positioning device is shown in FIG. 6. It includes a sleeve cylinder 80 with suckers 81, with which the device is fixed to the surface to be drilled. The s'eeve cylinder 80 has a through hole 82 in the axial direction. A positioning base 83 is mounted in the through hole 82 in the axial direction as well.
The top end of the positioning base 83 has an opening 84, on the center of which a cross-hair aiming frame 85 is mounted. A positioning hole 86 is foimed at the crossing center of the aiming frame 85. When drilling, the drill bit of the drilling machine goes through the positioning hole to drill.
[0003] However, when the drilling machine drills, the rotating drill bit inevitably wobbles in the horizontal direction. Since the drill bit is made of an extremely hard material, the horizontal wobble thus results in the abrasion of the positioning hole 86 of the drill positioning device. After a period of time, the outer diameter of the positioning hole becomes larger due to the abrasion. In that case, the precision of the drill bit degrades and it becomes difficult to aim accurately at the drilling place.
[0004] An objective of the invention is to provide a drill positioning device with a bearing in the positioning hole, thereby absorbing vibration and preventing abrasion.
[0005] To achieve the above-mentioned objective, the invention includes: [0006] a sleeve cylinder, which is formed with a through hole in an axial direction, the wall along the through hole being formed with several limiting blocks extending in the axial direction; [0007] a positioning base, whose outer diameter corresponding to the positioning base of the through hole, the wall on the outer side is recessed with several limiting grooves corresponding to the limiting blocks on the sleeve cylinder in order for the positioning base to be accommodated in the through hole of the sleeve cylinder, wherein the positioning base is free to slide in the axial direction in the through hole and is penetrated through axially with a hole; a bearing having an outer ring and a rotatable inner ring, wherein the inner ring is formed with an axial positioning hole and the bearing is fixed in the hole of the positioning base via the outer ring; and [0008] a ring sleeve disposed in the positioning hole of the bearing and having an axial ring hole for an aiming element and the drill bit of the drilling machine to be mounted therein.
[0009] The invention will now be described in detail by way of example with reference to the drawings. in which: [0010] FIG. I is a three-dimensional assembly view of the invention; [0011] FIG. 2 is a three-dimensional expthded view of the invention; [0012] FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the invention; [0013] FIG. 4 isa top view of the invention in use when ainñng at a drilling hole; [0014] FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view of the invention is use when drilling a hole; and [0015] FIG. 6 is a three-dimensional assembly view of a conventional drill positioning device.
[0016] The present invention will be apparent from the following detailed description, which proceeds with reference to the accompanying drawings, wherein the same references relate to the same elements.
[0017] Please refer to FIGS. I to 3. The drill positioning device of the invention includes: a sleeve cylinder I, a positioning base 2, a bearing 3, and a ring sleeve 4.
The sleeve cylinder 1 is disposed on a work plane 6, and is formed with a through hole 11 along an axial direction. Several axially extended limiting blocks i2 are formed along the wall of the through hole 11. In this embodiment, the bottom of the s'eeve cylinder 1 is further provided with a sealing ring 13. The outer side is provided with several suckers 14 for fixing the sleeve cylinder on the work plane 6.
[0018] The outer diameter of the positioning base 2 corresponds to the through hole.
The wall on the outer side thereof is formed with several limiting grooves 21 corresponding to the limiting blocks 1 2 of the sleeve cylinder 1. The positioning base 2 is accommodated in the through hole 11 of the sleeve cylinder 1 through the combination of the limiting grooves 21 and the liniiting blocks 12, in such a way that the positioning base 2 is allowed to slide in the axial direction in the through hole 11.
The positioning base 2 is formed with a hole 22 in the axial direction.
[0019] The bearing 3 has an outer ring 31 and a rotatable inner ring 32. The inner ring 32 is foimed with an axial positioning hole 321. The bearing 3 is fixed in the hole 22 of the positioning base 2 using the outer ring 31 thereof. When drilling, the drill bit of the drilling machine is mounted through the positioning hole 321.
Through the squeeze between the inner ring 32 and the outer ring 31 of the bearing 3, horizontal vibrations occurring during the drilling can be absorbed to avoid abrasion.
[0020] The ring sleeve 4 is embedded in the positioning hole of the bearing 3.
The ring sleeve 4 has an axial ring hole 41 for an aiming element 5 to go through, thereby aiming at the place to drill. In this embodiment, the aiming element 5 is a hollow cylinder with an axial through hole 5]. One can look from the top end downward to see the view of work plane under the aiming element 5. The surrounding of the aiming element 5 is radially provided with several aiming blocks 52. The cross point of imaginary extended fines of the aiming blocks 52 helps aiming the drilling place. Furthermore, the ring hole 41 of the ring sleeve 4 in this embodiment is for the drill bit of the drilling machine to go through. When drilling a hole, the drill bit also rotates the ring sleeve 4 along with the inner ring 32 of the bearing 3. The bearing 3 absorbs vibrations generated when the drilling machine drills a hole. Besides, the ring sleeve 4 can be replaced by ring sleeves 4B with ring holes 41 B of different outer diameters or shapes in order to accommodate drill bits of different sizes.
[0021] In practice, one first disposed the disclosed drill positioning device on a work plane 6 to drill a hole. As shown in FIG 4, the user looks vertica'ly downward from the top of the aiming element 5 and sees the view of the work plane 6 via the through hole 51 of the aiming elementS. The user then moves the invention to find and aims at the drilling place 61 marked on the work plane 6 in advance. After the drilling place 61 is confirmed, the suckers 14 fixes the sleeve cylinder 1 on the work plane 6, ensuring that the drilling place 61 does not go off. Afterwards, as shown in FIG. 5,the aiming element S in the ring sleeve 4 is taken off and replaced by a drill bit 7 for drilling. The ring sleeve 4 is aho replaced by a ring sleeve 4B with the ring hole 4lB colTesponding to the shape of the drill bit 7. Once the preparation is done, the drilling place 6 1 remains fixed when the ring sleeve 4B is embedded into the positioning hole 321 of the bearing 3 because the sleeve cylinder I is fixed. The user can thus drill the hole with precision. As the bearing 3 absorbs vibrations from the dnlling, abrasion is avoided to keep the drilling precision and lower chances of errors.
[0022] Although the invention has been described with reference to specific embodiments, this description is not meant to be construed in a limiting sense.
Various modifications of the disclosed embodiments, as well as alternative embodiments, will be apparent to people skilled in the art. Therefore, it is contemp'ated that the appended daims will cover all modifications that fall within the true scope of the invention.
