Abstract

A shield 1 made of a sheet of silicon with a hole in it is used to shield a gas cooker hob from spillages when positioned with a gas burner extending through the hole. The shield can be rectangular or square of non-sticky silicone, and have a border for further protection, and held to the hob by pan supports. The holes * can be pre-cut circles for adapting to the hob, and the shield can be textured. Chemical cleaning is thus reduced.

Description:
Silicone shield was simply bone from a reflection of my behaviour in the kitchen. Whilst cooking hobs naturally become dirty with grease,food particles etc. That is why I started to think about the possibility to protect the hob with an object that could be easily removed, cleaned and reused.
This solution achieves two goals -it is environmentally friendly and reduces the use of cleaning products and chemicals that arc increasingly used in all households.
Material: The silicone shield is made with a special OPAQUE and NON STICKY silicone only.
I choose thc non sticky type becausc it is much easier to clean like a tea towcl.
It will not the damage the hob surface and it is easier to remove from any surface because it is not sticky.
Product Specifications:
The shield is made of a special fire resistant non sticky opaque silicone The shield for each gas point can also be adapted to any standard dimensions thanks to the pre cut circles -sec drawings Approximately Dimensions: W3Ocm x L3Ocm x 3mm thickness With these dimensions the shield will cover 99% of the standard hobs protecting it from any kind of spillage, grease, water etc. Protecting the gas hob in a way never seen before with a positive result and time saving for all its users.
Bigger shields with different dimensions will be for different industrial restaurant hobs
