Abstract
The component parts required to erect a typical marquee or tent structure are packed, stored and made available in modular bays which may be linked together to provide a complete marquee structure of varying length. The structure can be increased and or decreased in length by means of adding or removing a complete module from the modular system. The system comprises a plurality of tubular sections cut in a manner that allow for said sections to be assembled into modular bays with a length a approximately two metres or thereabouts and an assortment of jointing devices that allow for assembly of said tubular sections to form a modular bay. A means for termination at the end of a modular bay and a means to attach one modular bay to another may be provided.
Description
MODULAR ARRANGEMENT FOR MAQUEE
This invention relates to a combined apparatus and method for packing, storage and errection of marquee type structures.
It is known that temporary structures known, as marquees are commonly available and such structures are made available as component parts to be erected on site. These component parts are packed, stored and made available to provide for a multitude of different length marquees of varying prefabricated size. For example there may be assemblies available to construct marquees three metres, four metres or six metres in length and having varying prefabricated width, yet there is no provision made for any one of the above structures to allow for increase or decrease the length. Should the owner require a larger or smaller marquee they would have to purchase a new structure of the desired length.
According to the present invention there is provided a combined apparatus and method that allow for the multiplicity of component parts required to erect a typical marquee structure to be packed, stored and made available in a manner that allow for the construction a marquee to be provided in modular bays which may be linked together to provide a complete marquee structure of varying length Fig I and allow for the erect structure to increase and or decrease in length by means of the apparatus provided Fig 1 B & C and method which allow for a modular system comprising of a plurality of tubular sections cut in a manner that allow for said sections to be assembled into modular bays with a length of approximately two metres or thereabouts and the provision of an assortment of component jointing devices that allow for assembly of said tubular sections Fig 1 B & C to form a modular bay and also providing a means for termination at the end of a modular bay Fig 1 0 or alternatively providing a means to attach one modular bay to another and thereby providing an option to adjust the length of an erect marquee structure by the ability to add or remove one or more modular bay and thereby allowing the stockiest or supplier to provide better stock control due to the modular packing system providing for component parts to be packed and made available in such a way that define and identify the components required to erect each modular bay and multiples thereafter to allow for a multitude of varying length structures to be erected from a plurality of pre packed modules thereby eliminating the need to hold in stock many different prefabricated structures consisting of a multiplicity tubular sections and component parts each packed to produce one of the many different size structures on offer.
Proffered Options It is proffered that the plurality of tubular sections required to assemble one modular bay be packed in box packaging and identified as such.
It is proffered that the plurality of component part jointing devices required for construction of one modular bay and to connect one bay to another and be packed in box packaging and identified as such.
* *** It is proffered that the roof covering of flexible material be supplied to suit individual size of * marquee and be packed in box packaging and identified as such.
