Abstract
An outer sleeve 10 has an opening 14 with a latch 16 adjacent it. An inner container 20 provided with depression 24 can be slid into it. The outer container including the latches is formed of a resilient plastic sheet which can be folded 11, 13 and glued 12 into a tube having a lens shaped cross section. The latch operates by folding into the sleeves interior and engaging with the recess of the inner container. A weakened of perforated line 18 surrounds the latch to allow it to be torn off the rest of the sleeve and release the inner container. The sleeve may have an opening with an associated latch at each end and the container can have a corresponding recess at each end. Ideally one of the fold lines extends into both latches. Other cross sectional shapes such as tubular, square, oval, circular and rhombus are possible. Ideally the latches are rectangular extensions projecting from a rectangular net for the sleeve. There may be a notch 19 to assist location of the tear line 18.
