Abstract
A beverage container comprises a removable element wherein the beverage container is convertible from a first configuration in which it functions as, and resembles, a traditional bottle to a second configuration in which it functions as, and resembles, a stemmed drinking vessel. The beverage container is preferably fabricated from a plastics material. The bottle configuration may resemble a traditional glass bottle and the drinking vessel configuration may resemble a wine glass. In use, the beverage container allows for the storage, transport, retail, supply and consumption of individual alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages using a single container.
Description
All-in-One Individual Plastic Bottle and Drinking Vessel This invention relates to a device for storage, transport, retail, supply, and vessel for consumption of, individual alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, which converts to a drinking vessel on opening.
When individual bottles of beverages are supplied to a consumer, a separate drinking vessel is often required. This invention removes the need for a separate drinking vessel. This reduces waste, and / or the need to clean drinking vessels after use. Furthermore, where space is limited, such as the dining tray on an aeroplane, one vessel is more convenient than two.
To overcome these problems, the present invention proposes an All-in-One Individual Use Plastic Bottle and Drinking Vessel, which allows the storage, transport, retail, supply, and vessel for consumption of, individual alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
In addition, the Supplier's logo or message, may be either directly printed to the All-in-One Individual Plastic Bottle and Drinking \Tessel, or applied as a label. This ensures that the logo or message may be maintained throughout the supply chain until end of consumption.
The invention will now be described solely by way of example and with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure 1 shows the overall plan of the AU-in-One Individual Plastic Bottle and Drinking Vessel.
In figure 1, the overall plan shows the various stages of opening and conversion to a drinking ss el.
The All-in-One Individual Plastic Bottle and Drinking Vessel is composed of two parts. Part I is the main bottle housing. Part 2 is the base, which has a protruding screw head, resembling the punt' or kick-up' in a traditional glass bottle, facing into the bottle. Part 2 is screwed into the base of Part I to seal.
In Phase A, the unit is a bottle.
To use, the bottle (Parts I and 2 still attached) is inverted. Part 2 of the bottle unscrews, is inverted again, and the screw head protrusion screws into the now inverted neck of Part 1.
Process is illustrated in Stages 1 to 5.
The unit is now in Phase B, a drinking vessel.
Claims (3)
