Abstract

A Car battery jacket 2 is used to insulate the car battery from cold conditions which affects the battery performance. The battery jacket 2 may be fastened around the battery 1 and may comprise acid resistant thermal insulating material.

Description

Car Battery Cover My invention relates to a Car battery jacket which is used for the protection of a car battery.
Car battery jacket are well-known but apart from protecting the car battery itself from the ambient heat from the car engine offer no other function, so this invention provides a Car Battery Jacket with the properties to provide insulation from the cold keeping the electrolyte in the battery from becoming frozen which results in the battery not working as well as it should. It will protect it from the ambient heat of the car engine allowing the car baftery to operate better in cold or hot conditions.
The object of this invention enables a Car battery jacket which is attachable to the housing of the car battery and insulates the car battery from cold conditions which affect the electrics of the battery.
Preferably the Car battery jacket will be made from materials which are not affected by cold or heat and are acid resistant.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure 1 shows the Car battery.
As shown in Figure 1 the car battery 1 without the Car battery jacket.
Figure 2 Shows the Car battery with attached Car battery jacket.
As shown in Figure 2 the Car battery jacket 2 wrapped around the sides of the car battery 1.
Figure 3 shows the Car battery with attached Car battery jacket which includes top and bottom insulation.
As shown in Figure 3 the Car battery jacket 2 my also come with additional top 3 and bottom 4 insulation which allow the battery terminals space.
The Car battery jacket will fasten around the car battery, and will use without limitation Velcro, hooks, clips, latches, locks, string and other means to allow the Car battery jacket to fit securely to the car battery.
The insulation used may include any form of insulation without limitation to Fiberglass Insulation, Cellulose Insulation, Polyisocyanurate Insulation, Expanded Polystyrene Insulation, Extruded Polystyrene, Spray Polyurethane Foam, Radiant Barriers, Reflective Insulation, Cotton Insulation and Mineral Wool. The Car battery jacket will also include a protective property to shield the car battery from external heat including the car engine.
