Abstract

Windows and the like, cleaning. - A triangular container 1 fitted with an air-inlet valve 3 is provided with a detachable washing pad 8, through which liquid from the container is adapted to percolate, and with a detachable drying squeegee 17. The valve 3 is spring- controlled and capable of being opened by a screw 4. The pad 8 of felt or spongy rubber, which is attached to a perforated metal plate and is covered with wash-leather or textile material 10, is provided with hooks 14 for attachment to springs 15 on the container. Tubes project from the container into the pad 8 to distribute the liquid thereto. To collect drops of liquid swept by the squeegee an absorbent strip 20 is provided. The device is secured to a socket 23 provided with a screw 24 to engage a handle 25. The socket may have a fluted portion 26 or may be covered with leather, and the container may have a grooved plate 27 to facilitate the handling of the device. A jointed lever 28 with a roller 29 may be provided so that the squeegee when in use may be held at the proper inclination to the window.
