Abstract
A hair waving device comprises a shaped body 2 onto which hair may be wound. The body 2 is shaped in such a way that it varies in transverse section from a minimum value to a maximum value according to a predetermined pattern. The body may comprise one or more broadened sections 7 separated from one another by corresponding narrow sections 6. A grip 1 is arranged for holding the device. The device may be heated by means of electrical resistance. The surface temperature may be regulated and may vary according to the quantity of material between the resistance heater and the body 2 surface.
Description
A Hair waving device
TECHNICAL FiELD
The invention relates to the technical sector concerning devices for waving hair.
BACKGROUND
A plurality of hair waving devices are known destined to be used by operators in the sector to perform wavy hair styles or permanents with more or less undulated hair according to the customers wishes. Hair waving devices are fundamentally constituted by a grip for supporting a shaped elongated body, generally cylindrical, on which a lock of hair is wound and by heating means associated to the shaped body for defining a predetermined wave of the lock ln some cases the body on which the lock of hair is wound exhibit's a constant transversal section over the longitudinal extension thereof while in other cases the body exhibit's a constantly growing section proceeding from the grip towards the free end. This invention allows the operator to create new hair effects due to the unique shape of the device enabling the user to achieve what was not previously possible.
Statement of Invention
The aim of the invention is to provide a hair waving device which enables artificial waves to be obtained of the locks of hair treated.
A further aim of the invention is to provide a hair waving device which enables waves to be obtained along the length of each lock of hair.
A further aim of the invention is to provide a hair waving device which is extremely reliable and functional for the operator thus guaranteeing maximum safety during the operating stage with regard to the locks of hair treated and the safety of the user undergoing the treatment to her or his hair.
Advantages The shape of the device will act as a guide to the user allowing them to create a predetermined hair effect due to the unique shape of the invention.
The shape of the device naturally holds the hair within its contours which eliminates hair slippage whilst being moulded into shape. -.3-
Introduction To Drawings
The characteristics of the invention will be made evident in the following description in which preferred but not exclusive embodiments of the invention are illustrated with reference to the accompanying figures of the drawings.
Figures 1 and 2 show respective views, front and rear of the hair waving device.
Figure 1 shows the shape and definition of the device according to the invention.
Figure 2 shows an aerial view of the shape and definition of the device according to the invention.
A HAIR WAVING DEVICE
Detailed DescriptLoq With reference to the figures of the drawings, Figure 1 denotes in its entirety the hair waving device comprising in known ways, a grip (1) for supporting a shaped body (2) having an elongated shape on which a lock of hair is wound and electrical heating means (2) for defining a predetermined wave in the lock of hair wound onto the body (2). The grip (1) fixedly supporting the shaped body (2.) The body (2) being symmetrically shaped with respect to relative median horizontal and vertical planes thereof and longitudinally exhibiting a transversal section which varies continuously from a minimum value to a maximum value and vice versa according to a predetermined progression.
Entirely similarly, in further embodiments, not illustrated for the sake of simplicity, the transversal sections can include any desired combination of elliptical, oval, circular or geometric which enables obtaining the predetermined effect of the lock of hair.
In similar embodiments, also not illustrated for the sake of simplicity, the shaped body (2) can further compromise one or more broadened sections (7) separated from one another by corresponding narrowed sections (6).
Means(4) for activating and regulating the heating power generated by the electrical means advantageously located on the grip (1).
In known ways a blocking element can be associated to the shaped body (2) which blocking element is destined to stabilise the lock of hair wound on the body.
The electrical heating means can be constituted by an electrical resistance, ie by several electrical resistances having for example different heating power.
ln the first case the single resistance heats the shaped body (2) over the whole extension thereof, with a surface temperature that varies according to the quantity of material interposed between the resistance and the surface.
The various resistances are of such a size and are arranged such as to obtain a predetermined surface temperature profile of the shaped body (2). In both cases the electrical heating means (8) can be connected to a temperature sensor (not illustrated) and regulated using the activating and regulating means (4).
During the functioning stage the resistance (8) or resistances (8) heat the external surface of the shaped body (2) in the desired way such as to obtain
Detailed Description
the predetermined wave of the lock of hair wound onto the shaped body (2) stabilising the obtained wave.
From the above, it is easily understood how the provided hair waving device enables artificially obtaining waves of the treated locks of hair.
The elongate shaped body symmetrical with respect to the horizontal and vertical planes and having a transversal section which varies continuously from a minimum to a maximum value and vice versa enables waves to be obtained of the hair. The locks of hair wound on the body are subjected to zones.
The hair waving device of the invention is further extremely reliable and functional for the operator as it guarantees maximum safety during functioning thus protecting the treated locks of hair and safe guarding the health of the user undergoing treatment.
The presence of zones with broadened sections and narrow sections together with a possibility of adopting a plurality of electrical resistances, enables a predetermined temperature gradient to be obtained on the external surface of the shaped body and this enables the operator to handle the hair waving device with greater safety, avoiding the risk of burning her or himself and also singeing the user during the operating stage.
The special geometry of the shaped body enables use of smaller blocking elements for stabilising the lock of hair making the hair waving device provided particularly useable even by operators who are not particularly expert.
