Description

Hair clipping device of the straightener type with an optimized comb
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of hair clipping devices of the straightener type, which allow to treat a lock of hair by pinching it between two treatment surfaces, at least one of which is heated.
Background
Hair cutting devices of the straightener type conventionally comprise two arms configured to form a pincer, each arm comprising on its inner face a treatment surface. The treatment surfaces on the two arms are oppositely disposed and allow squeezing of the tress of hair when the arms grip the tress of hair. During use, the straightener moves along the lock of hair from the root towards the end. One of the two treatment surfaces, even both treatment surfaces, is equipped with a heating mechanism in order to heat the hair tresses during their clamping on both treatment surfaces, which improves the straightening quality of the hair tresses.
Also, hairstyling devices of the straightener type are known which, in addition to the above features, also comprise a longitudinally arranged comb which allows to ventilate the hair strands by distributing them over the entire length of the treatment surfaces, which allows to suitably heat and grip the whole hair during its passage through both treatment surfaces, in order to achieve a better straightening of the hair. Such a comb is described, by way of example, in international application WO2010081968a 1.
Disclosure of Invention
The aim of the present invention is to achieve a hair-cutting apparatus of the straightener type which allows to optimize the straightening effect of the hair. To this end, the hairdressing apparatus according to the invention comprises a first arm and a second arm configured to form a jaw, a first treatment surface and a second treatment surface configured to be relatively each on said arms, in order to squeeze a lock of hair between said treatment surfaces when a grip is obtained by bringing the two arms close to each other. At least one of the two treatment surfaces comprises heating means, preferably both of them, in order to heat the lock of hair and obtain a better straightening. In addition, the hairstyling apparatus further comprises a first comb configured on the first arm upstream of the first treatment surface to suitably distribute the hair strands between the two treatment surfaces and to create a stretch on the hair strands before they pass between the treatment surfaces. In other words, the first comb is arranged on the first arm such that, for example, during a hair straightening operation, when moving the hair cutting device in a normal direction of movement (preferably from the root towards the tip), the hair contacts the comb before contacting the treatment surface. Notably, the first comb includes teeth spaced apart from each other at a constant pitch of 0.50mm to 8.00 mm. In addition, the shape of the tooth portion is a tapered shape having a rectangular bottom surface. The long side of the rectangular base, which defines the largest face of the teeth, is arranged laterally on the comb. The applicant has observed, after having carried out numerous studies and heuristics, that the selection of a comb with tapered teeth with a rectangular base and a constant pitch between the teeth of 0.50mm to 8.00mm allows to visually improve the straightening quality of the lock of hair very significantly with respect to hairstyling devices of the type with a straightener of the comb according to the prior art. The expression "comb of tapered teeth with rectangular base" preferably denotes that the plurality of teeth of said comb comprises at least a part of tapered teeth, i.e. a part of teeth of a tapered shape or a frustum shape, as will be explained below.
Preferably, the tapered tooth portion of the tooth extends over at least half the tooth height and advantageously over three quarters of the tooth height.
In a preferred embodiment of the hair-cutting apparatus according to the invention, the spacing between the teeth is 2.10mm, which allows the straightening effect to be optimized.
In a preferred embodiment of the hair cutting device according to the invention, the conical shape with a rectangular base comprises a large base with a width of 0.8mm to 1.20mm, preferably 1.00mm, and a length of 1.9mm to 2.70mm, preferably 2.30 mm. In addition, the tapered shape having a rectangular bottom surface includes a small bottom surface having a width of 0.20mm to 0.40mm, preferably 0.30mm, and a length of 0.40mm to 0.80mm, preferably 0.60 mm. More precisely, the small base surface is thus parallel to the large base surface and the conical shape can be compared as a frustum, i.e. a part of a cone, the top of which is constituted by the small base surface. In addition, the height separating the large and small bottom surfaces is 2.00mm to 16.00mm, preferably 10.40 mm. The dimensions of the conical shape with rectangular base of the selected teeth also allow to optimize the straightening effect of the lock of hair.
The hairdressing apparatus according to the object of the invention comprises abutment means arranged on the second arm upstream of the second treatment surface and the first comb for forcing the lock of hair between the teeth as far as into the bottom of the first comb. The provision of locks of hair in the bottom of the comb allows the teeth to press on said hair with greater force and, consequently, allows the hair to be properly stretched before passing between the two treatment surfaces.
In one embodiment, these abutment means are constituted by a curved hood provided on the second arm, said hood corresponding to the first comb on the first arm, said first comb being housed in said hood when clamped.
In a first variant, the curved mask comprises a longitudinal edge against which a lock of hair is applied. Preferably, the position of the longitudinal edge substantially corresponds to the bottom of the comb in the clamped position.
In a second variant, the curved shield comprises a longitudinal portion configured to form a second comb disposed downstream of the first comb in an opposite direction of the first comb.
In another embodiment, these abutment means comprise longitudinal contact elements, the material of which is realized being configured to exert a frictional resistance on the locks of hair, for example silicone material. In the case of curved covers, it is possible to envisage implementing said longitudinal edges with silicone material or even with other materials.
In one variant of the hairdressing apparatus according to the invention, the hairdressing apparatus further comprises an evaporation mechanism configured to effect a steam treatment of the complementary heating treatment as the lock of hair passes between the two treatment surfaces, even before or after it passes between the treatment surfaces.

Detailed Description
In the following description, the same reference numerals are used to describe similar features according to different embodiment variants.
In the following description, the term "straightener" is used to denote a hair cutting device 1 according to the invention.
As shown in fig. 1, the straightener 1 comprises two arms 2, 3, said two arms 2, 3 being also called cheeks, hinged to each other by a pivoting link 4, which allows to constitute a clamp that can be set in an open position, in which the two arms are far from each other, or in a closed position, in which the two arms are close to each other. The proximal portions 2a, 3a of the two arms 2, 3 can be gripped simultaneously by one hand, which allows the closing of the jaws and the operation of the straightener 1. The two arms 2, 3 each comprise a treatment surface 7, 8 on their inner face 5, 6 and at their distal end portions 2b, 3 b. The two treatment surfaces 7, 8 are oppositely disposed and allow to squeeze the lock of hair disposed between the treatment surfaces 7, 8 when the jaws are closed.
Preferably, the two treatment surfaces 7, 8 are heated, but it is also conceivable in an embodiment variant that only one of the two treatment surfaces 7, 8 is heated. The treatment surfaces 7, 8 have the shape of heating plates 9, 10 and integrate a heating mechanism (not shown) of the heating plates 9, 10, which comprises, in particular, a heating device (not shown) constituted by a thermistor with a positive temperature coefficient, called PTC, and a temperature measuring device (not shown) constituted by a thermistor with a negative temperature coefficient, called NTC.
The above-described features are well known to those skilled in the art of straighteners and will not be described in detail. However, innovative variants of the above-described characteristics of the straightener can be considered without going beyond the scope of the present invention.
As shown in fig. 1 and 3, the straightener 1 comprises a comb 11, which comb 11 extends longitudinally adjacent to the upstream longitudinal edge 9a of the heating plate 9 of the first treatment surface 7. The comb 11 comprises a longitudinal body 12 and teeth 13, for example forty to fifty teeth 13, as shown in fig. 4. The comb 11 is preferably assembled in a removable manner on the inner face 5 of the arm 2. To this end, the inner face 5 of the arm 2 comprises a groove 14, the groove 14 extending longitudinally in a manner adjacent to the upstream longitudinal edge 9a of the heating plate 9, the groove 14 having a shape complementary to the shape of the body 12 of the comb 11, which allows the body 12 to be slidingly mounted inside the groove 14, with the teeth 13 of the comb 11 directed towards the second arm 3. This advantageously allows the comb 11 to be replaced by, for example, another comb having a different size of teeth 13.
As shown in fig. 4 to 6, the teeth 13 of the comb 11 are spaced apart from each other by a regular pitch p and have a tapered shape of a rectangular bottom surface. The large face 15 of tooth 13 is arranged on comb 11 in the transverse direction and the small face 16 of tooth 13 is arranged in the longitudinal direction of comb 11. Each tooth 13 has a proximal rectangular large bottom surface 17 relative to the body 12 and a distal rectangular small bottom surface 18 relative to the body 12 and forming a point of the tooth 13. More precisely, said rectangular minor base 18 is therefore parallel to said rectangular major base 17, and said conical shape is therefore likened to a frustum, i.e. a portion of a cone, the top of which is formed by said minor base. The height h of the teeth 13 is defined by the distance separating the small rectangular base 18 and the large rectangular base 17. The rectangular large bottom surface 17 has a length L1 and a width L1, and likewise the rectangular small bottom surface 18 has a length L2 and a width L2.
The applicant has observed that the choice of teeth 13 with a conical shape with a rectangular base, arranged as shown in figures 4 and 6, with a regular pitch p selected from 0.50mm to 8.00mm, allows to significantly improve the penetration of the lock of hair between the teeth 13 by distributing it uniformly over the entire length of the comb 11, and to produce a uniform stretch on the lock of hair before it passes between the treatment surfaces 7, 8. The uniform stretching of the hair and its uniform distribution, contribute to properly and thoroughly heating all the hair of the lock and ensure a uniform pressure on all the hair when it passes between the two treatment surfaces 7, 8. The applicant has observed that these options allow to visually improve the quality of hair straightening with respect to prior art straighteners.
The straightening effect of the hair is optimized by selecting the pitch p between the teeth 13 to be 2.10 mm. This straightening effect is further optimized by selecting some dimensions of the teeth 13:
the width l1 of the rectangular large base 17 is between 0.80mm and 1.20mm, preferably equal to 1.00mm,
and a length L1 of 1.90mm to 2.70mm, preferably equal to 2.30mm,
the width l2 of the rectangular minor base 18 is between 0.20mm and 0.40mm, preferably equal to 0.30mm,
and a length L2 of 0.40mm to 0.80mm, preferably equal to 0.60mm,
-a height h comprised between 2.00mm and 16.00mm, preferably equal to 10.40 mm.
As shown in fig. 1 and 2, the straightener 1 comprises an abutment mechanism constituted by a hood 19, the hood 19 being arranged on the second arm 3 upstream of the second treatment surface 8. This hood 19 has a curved shape with a longitudinal portion 24, said longitudinal portion 24 being lowered and arranged upstream of the teeth 13 of the comb 11, on the side of the teeth 13 (in the closed position of the jaws) housed in the cavities 20 formed by the curved hood 19. In this closed position of the jaws, as shown in figure 1, the position of the longitudinal edge 21 of the cover 19 substantially corresponds to the position of the bottom 22 of the comb 11, which can be seen in more detail in figures 4 and 6. This allows to press and force the lock of hair towards the bottom 22 of the comb 11, sliding between the teeth 13, so as to optimize the stretch applied to the hair during its passage through the comb 11 before it is squeezed between the two treatment surfaces 7, 8.
A variant of realising the abutment means by replacing the cap 19 is conceivable, for example by providing a thread-like element or a crossbar (not shown) on the second arm 3, said thread-like element or crossbar (not shown) having a similar arrangement to the position of the longitudinal edge 21 of said cap 19.
Variants of the cover 19 are also conceivable. As shown in fig. 7, it is possible to envisage providing on the cap 19, at its longitudinal edges 21, pads 23 (or lamellae) realized in a material having a coefficient of friction, which allows to ensure a supplementary slight stretching exerted by said pads 23 on the hair when the jaws are closed. The gasket 23 is preferably silicone. The silicone material may also be used to realize the aforementioned thread-like elements or cross-bars.
In another variant, it is possible to envisage implementing a second comb (not shown) arranged on the longitudinal portion 24 of the cap 19, as shown in particular in fig. 2 and 7, opposite the first comb 11 on the first arm 2. This second comb allows to ensure a pretension applied to the hair and a pre-separation of the hair before it passes through the first comb 11. The teeth of this second comb may be the same or similar to the teeth 13 of the first comb 11, or even of a different design. The second comb may also be implemented using a silicone material in order to increase the coefficient of friction against the hair.
It is also conceivable that the teeth 13 of the first comb 11 are realized by a material having a coefficient of friction which allows to ensure a supplementary slight stretching of the hair when it passes between the teeth 13. These teeth 13 may be of silicone, for example.
In another variant of the straightener 1, the straightener 1 comprises additionally an evaporation mechanism which can be arranged in a different way on one or the other of the two arms 2, 3 in order to spray the hair tresses with steam before, during or even after they pass between the two treatment surfaces 7, 8. Such evaporation mechanisms on the straightener are known to the person skilled in the art and therefore will not be described in detail, without excluding the implementation of innovative evaporation mechanisms and at the same time without going beyond the scope of the present invention.
The above description is non-limiting and many variations of the straightener are contemplated without departing from the scope of the invention.
