BIB AND STORAGE BAG
The invention relates to a concept of a babies bib that is offered with a separate storage bag that allows it to be stored hygienically before and after use.
The product was developed as a useful aid whilst away from the home. Bibs can often be forgotten about when leaving home and are soiled easily during weaning stages. A corresponding bag is provided for the bib to be stored in, and can have a clip hook that allows it to be clipped onto a holder such as baby changing bag or handbag. After using bibs, they are soiled and dirty, if away from the home they are put into baby changing bags or handbags this way, potentially soiling the inside of the bag and its contents. The bag will provide a waterproof protection so that storage of a soiled bib will prevent contamination caused by food spills and odours.
DESCRIPTION
The product encompasses the concept of a velcro fastening bib for Children and Babies and a separate bag where the bib is stored hygienically before and after use. The bib will be either an absorbent fabric (for Babies milk feeds) or waterproof for Babies at the weaning stage 4 months and beyond, with or without a crumb catcher pouch that will be incorporated within the design of the bib. The lightweight bag is made from the same fabric as the bib and will provide a waterproof protection to prevent contamination.
The bag has a flap that closes the opening, keeping out odours or crumbs. The bag can feature a clip hook that allows it to be attached and detached easily to the inside or outside of a holder such as a changing bag or handbag, or can be without the clip hook so that the product can be placed directly into such holder.
The whole product will be compact and pocket sized and both the bib and the bag are from the same material, which can be machine-washed when soiled.
The soiled bib can be folded into the storage bag and stored hygienically. The bag will have waterproof protection thus the inside of a changing bag or handbag will not become tainted from a soiled bib.
DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
Figure 1 -Shows a standard bib of absorbent or waterproof material Figure 2 -Shows a waterproof bib with crumb catcher pouch Figure 3 -Shows the storage bag with popper (A) showing a clip hook (B) Figure 4 -Shows the storage bag with popper (A) without the clip hook Figure 5 -Shows the storage bag with open flap Figure 6 & 7 -Shows the folded bib Figure 8 -Shows the folded bib being placed into the bag Figure 9 -Shows the concept of a type of bib (C) and separate storage bag (D) that has a popper closure (A) and a clip hook (B) The invention is described below by way of example and with references to the accompanying drawings.
Referring to FIG 1 & FIG 2 are illustrations of the types of bibs that could be used in conjunction with the bag shown in FIG 3. Shown in FIG 1 is a standard style of bib which will be in various types of fabric, FIG 2 being of waterproof fabric and having a crumb catcher style pouch.
The storage bag in FIG 3 will be of the same fabric used for the selected bib and have a flap secured with a popper (A) to close the opening of the bag. The flap is opened to allow the bib to be stored, shown in FIG 5. FIGS 6 & 7 show the bib when folded by the user and placed into the bag FIG 8, the popper (A) is then closed to secure the bib and contain contaminations by way of waterproofing materials or coatings. A clip hook FIG 3 (B) can be attached to the inside or outside of a holder such as a changing bag or handbag, or the bag can be without the clip hook FIG 4 and be placed within the changing bag, handbag or a pocket. FIG 9 shows the two separate items before being placed together.
While poppers have been described as providing a closure for the flap of the bag, it is to be understood that other types of closures may be provided, such as Velcro, buttons or a zipper.
The bibs may have different type of closures other than Velcro as stated or may be formed of various sizes and shapes, have side fastening as illustrated or a back fastening or have the benefit of long sleeves as may be desired for children of different ages.
