Dials. - Means for detachably securing lenses, dial and cover glasses, &c. comprises a locking-ring 4 or frame inserted between the lens 3 &c. and the inner expansible wall of the bezel 1 of the instrument &c., the lens &c. resting on an internal flange 2, stops, abutments, or the like on the bezel. Fig. 3 shows means for securing a clock glass. The bezel 1 is made channel-shaped as shown so that its inner wall or walls are resilient laterally, and the locking- ring 4 is provided with an inwardly directed flange 5. The ring may have its inner edge slightly inturned, or its outer face concave, or both to facilitate assembling.
