Abstract

An underwater breathing system comprises a watertight mask which incorporates a network of intake and outflow pipe, ducts, channel and/or vents 7, 10, 13, 15, 20, 21, 25, that facilitates the free flow of water all the way through the mask using the operation of a fuel or battery powered motor driven engine 18, 24, with rotating wheels and or fans 8, that produce, generate or cause natural air bubbles to be formed as water passes through the systems chambers. The air bubbles are then collected in a containment area 23 and breathed by the user. The system also has built in air evaporation chambers 17, built in wireless transmitters and receivers 1, video camera 3, monitors 5, an audio relay device 22 and GPS/RFID position and tracking systems 9. The device has underwater goggles 4 and a darkness or night vision light generating mechanism to illuminate underwater while the user is submerged.

Description

Underwater Breathing System This device will allow breathing underwater; the new invention will make possible the flow of water through its system by producing, generating and creating air bubbles of that which is already present and exist in water. This devise will enable fresh air and oxygen supply to any person who play, swim or work in a body of water, such as the sea, river or pools, etc. This invention was created to be used and wear underwater.
Statement of invention
To overcome the source or potential cause of drowning in a body of water, this invention propose a free flowing underwater breathing system, that use intake and outflow pipe vents, with and or a small fuel or battery powered motor driven engine. This motor or battery powered system encourage rotation and counter rotating wheels and fans to produce, generate or cause air bubbles to be created as water passes through its duct and or pipe chambers.
This underwater breathing system was similar to a natural cascading waterfall which causes air bubbles to form on impact as the water hits the water surface and then drains off with the current.
This invention create a similar free flowing water system that forces the water to generate, produce or create natural air bubbles which is inhaled by the user and exhale back into the free flow water system. This invention allows the user to experience a natural breathing cycle whilst underwater.
This invention propose to use battery powered and or small motor driven engine to drive or force the water to generate natural air bubbles to be inhaled by the user and exhale back into its free flow water system.
In the event that any part of or all part of the invention battery or motor engine power faults or fails, this invention propose to built in at least one automatic or manual containment area for storage for air and oxygen as emergency back up for providing and or sustaining air flow, if the need arise as it generates, produce and create air underwater this allow the user to experience dry land breathing cycle.
This invention propose that its system use and has built in current RFID (radio frequency identification) applications or Global Positioning System (GPS) technologies to track the user movement while underwater. These enable users' location to be easily track and or mapped in the event of emergency or stressful situations. The invention use tracking systems to enable the user to interact with an offsite monitor such as a computer workstation.
The invention has built in video relay cameras and or monitors that function as a live communication screen between the user and or external communication sources, and for interaction, sharing video or still images and files through its devise and or system wireless communication devise.
This invention has underwater cameras and or video systems or devises to capture footages whilst underwater and transmit wirelessly through its built in transmitters and receivers.
This invention has built in wireless audio communication system and or devise that enable the user to speak to external sources in real time.
This invention has a high voltage direct current battery or motor driven engines or systems that enable an electrical discharge to power the devise systems in order to generate, produce or create natural air bubble through its pipes, channels and or ducts. These operate using natural intake and outflow of water as it pass naturally through its system and or devise.
This invention has detachable goggles and or parts with build in night or daytime vision applications and or software to enable the user to have clear line of sight while underwater.
This invention has manual or automatic water release trap doors to eject trap or build up water from its mouth piece, thus enabling the user to place the system and or devise over the head and in place while underwater.
This invention has built in water cannels, ducts, tubes, air valves, vaults and or pipes with intake and outflows to enable the natural flow of water to pass through its system and or devises.
This invention has built in steam chamber with automatic release to generate, produce or create a systematic release of steam evaporated air into the system or devise to stimulate a steady flow of air through its pipes, ducts and or channels.
This invention has wheels, arms, and cascading falls, rotating wheels and or fans. These allow the free flow of water and are use to produce, generate or create natural air bubbles in the water as it runs through the system devise.
This invention has various water filter layers which acts like a dam to stop or prevent flowing water from reaching certain parts or area within the devise system.
This invention has manual or automatic signal systems that are able to interact with the user to track and trace the whereabouts of the user whilst underwater.
This invention has an automatic or manual light enabling devise and or system to illuminate the area in which the user is dwelling, swimming or moving underwater.
This invention does not use complex "electrolysis", which is chemical separation of oxygen from hydrogen also it has no need for an artificial system that mimic the way fish absorb oxygen from the water it drinks or from a system that separate oxygen from water. It does not propose compress oxygen air tanks as its primary source of breathing air whilst underwater.
Background Information
This invention relates to an underwater breathing system.
Drowning is death from suffocation (asphyxia) caused by a liquid entering the lungs and preventing the absorption of oxygen leading to cerebral hypoxia and rnyocardial infarction.
Near drowning is the survival of a drowning event involving unconsciousness or water inhalation and can lead to serious secondary complications, including death, after the event. The rate of drowning in populations around the world varies widely according to their access to water, the climate and the national swimming culture. In the United Kingdom there is a minimum of 650 drowning yearly or 1 per 150,000 of population and in the United States this reaches an average of 6,500 drowning yearly, which is around 1 per 50,000 of population.
Drowning related injuries are the fifth most likely cause of accidental death and the rate of near drowning incidents is unknown. Victims are more likely to be male, young or adolescent. Research indicates that 10% of children have experienced a situation with a high risk of drowning.
According to (www.ilsf.org/drowninWfacts, n.d) there are over 800,000 people who die from drowning yearly around the world. There are perhaps eight to ten times that many who experience a near-drowning emergency but who reach safety or who are resuscitated (Caroline, 1991).
World average on the causes of drowning shows: * 44% are related to swimming * 17% are related to boating * 14% are unattributed * 10% related to scuba diving * 12.5% relates to climate 2.5% unreported and unknown The existence of underwater compressed air tank breathing method limits the amount of time a person can stay underwater and increases the chance of drowning. Other method implement rechargeable battery-powered artificial gill that utilise a centrifuge mechanism to pull oxygen from sea water; this uses chemical and or other techniques to pull oxygen from the body of water.
The solutions offered by this invention allow the user to breathe underwater without the use of a compress air tank above or below water. This invention does not encourage, implement or use any chemical process to interfere with the natural water body in order to subtract oxygen from its matter.
