Abstract
247,744. Carpmael, W., (Farbenfabriken vorm F. Bayer & Co.). Feb. 24, 1925. Storage bins.-Containers for corn, cement, and other materials in dust form, are emptied by means of rotating jets of air or gas directed tothe walls of the container. As shown, the airtight container 2 is fitted with a rotating pipe I having tangential nozzles 11 and supplied with compressed air by a pipe 8. The dust &c. falls to the throat and is discharged by a jet from a pipe 15. A stirrer 16 keeps the throat clear. In a modification, the container is fitted with a rotatable pipe provided with tangential outlets and projecting into the throat of the container.
