Abstract

A transfer mechanism has a head 201 rotatable and translatable relative to first and second substrates 203,204, the head 201 having a curved outer portion 207 with air pressure openings 206, configured to apply air pressure, first negative then positive, so as to transfer sheet material 202 between the first and second substrates 203,204. The transfer mechanism may be used in the construction of electrical fuel cells from thin layers of material.
