Abstract

A foldable chair comprising a seating portion, two opposite edges of which are pivotally connected to respective stanchions, wherein the seating portion comprises a hinge substantially parallel to and substantially equidistant between the two pivotally connected opposite edges, to allow the seating portion to be folded in an upward direction for storage. The invention extends to a seating assembly comprising two or more foldable chairs.
