Description
LEG STRETCHING EXERCISER
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an exerciser, and more particularly, to a leg stretching exerciser which exercises both the muscles of inside and outside of the users' legs.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
A conventional leg stretching exerciser is shown in Fig. 8 and generally includes a connection frame 1 with a first base board 2 and a third base board 3 located on two sides of the connection frame 1. A first pedal 4 and a second pedal 5 are respectively and slidably connected to the first and second base boards 1, 2. Each of the first and second pedals 4, 5 is connected wit h a resilient cable 6 which provides a pre-set value of resilient force to the pedal so that when the users' legs are stretched, the muscles of the users' legs are exercised.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a leg stretching exerciser includes two base boards pivotably connected to two sides of a connection member by pivotal devices, such that the two base boards are pivotable up and down. The connection member has a handle on a top thereof so as to carry the exercise. The two base boards are expanded and put on the floor. Each base board has guide slots and rollers are connected to a pedal via the guide slots. Each base board has a through slot at a central portion thereof through which a positioning member is connected to the pedal. Two rollers are connected to the underside of each base board and four positioning devices are located beside the two rollers and the positioning member. The top of each base board and the guide slots are curved and have two higher ends and a lower mediate portion. Two resilient cables each have a first end fixed to the positioning member, and a second end going around the pulleys and fixed to the positioning device beside the rollers to stretch the legs. The first end of the resilient cable is fixed to the positioning device beside the pulley, and the second end goes around the pulleys and is fixed to the positioning device of the first positioning member to pull the legs.
