Abstract
Users interact with computer 8 and monitor 10 via interface 9 to four light-dependent control sensors 6 having four, preferably life-sized, hand-shaped surrounds 1—4. The surrounds may be glued to the sensors, may be coloured and may be mounted inside shop window 5 at a height easy for users to reach from outside the window. Light-dependent background monitor sensor 7 may also be mounted inside the shop window. The sensors are preferably light-dependent resistors and sensor 7 provides a reference for changes in resistance of sensors 6. Software runs on the computer and preferably displays up to four options on the monitor in the form of coloured hands with information on what action each hand represents. Preferably, a user placing a hand over a control sensor triggers a software event causing display of appropriate text, photos, video etc. The arrangement may be used to display property data in the window of a realtor or estate agent and allows restricted interaction with the computer from outside the shop window without causing damage to the window.
Description
I
Optical System Interface Media Platform This invention relates to a device mainly for use by estate agents, to display property data in the form of text, photos and videos on a computer monitor that can be controlled by customers outside the shop.
Many estate agents have more properties than the shop window can accommodate, and many rely on mechanical rotating displays to maximise window space. However, this method is limited to text and photos. The Optical System Interface Media Platform will allow customers to view and interact with the property information from outside the shop.
The system is installed inside the shop and will cause no damage to the window.
The invention will now be described with text and with reference to accompany drawings in which: Light dependent monitor sensor, consisting of Light Dependent Resistor (7) is also glue to the inside of the shop window (5). This is connected to the computer (8) via an interface (9).
Four coloured life-size hand shaped surrounds: Red (1), Blue (2) Green (3) and Yellow (4) are glued to the inside of the shop window (5).
Each hand shaped surrounds has a small hole in the palm centre where a Light Dependent Resistor (6) also referred to when used for this propose as a light dependent control sensor, is fixed.
All Light Dependent Resistors are connected to a computer (8) via an interface (9).
The computer (8) uses software to measure and record the resistance of all five LDR's.
This permits people outside the shop to have restricted control over the computer (8) that is inside the shop, by simply placing their hand over the appropriate coloured hand shaped surround and light dependent control sensor (1 -4).
Enabling potential customers outside the shop to view the estate agent's property data in the form of text, photos and videos on the monitor (10) inside the shop.
The fifth LDR is used to measure background light and its value is used by the software to calculate which picture (1 -4) has been covered up.
