Abstract

A trampoline cover having one or more layers of fabric (a) and a circular shape. Eyelets (d) may be positioned around the perimeter to allow it to be secured in place. The trampoline cover may be reversible and be provided in various sizes. The cover may have 2 layers of fabric arranged to function as a sleeping bag. A bag for storing the cover and a trapezium shaped cushion may also be provided. The device is designed to make the trampoline a comfortable place for a user to sit or lie on.

Description

Title of Invention: Trampoline Cover
Descnption
Background
It was whilst watching my daughter and her friend lounging on our trampoline one breezy afternoon this spring, I thought that the trampoIine.offersa.
comfortable and sometimes warm environment on which they could sunbathe, chat and listen to their mp3 players in addition to jumping, however sometimes it can be a bit chilly. Since then, I attended a birthday party held one cooler evening where I noticed my daughter, with a group of friends, lounging. on.a trampoline and.thought that a reversible, circular. covering or * blanket, which could also be designed to be temporarily.and easily attached to the trampoline frame, would keep the users warm when lounging in cooler weather and then they could use it to lie on or sit on if the weather was warmer. Although trampoline users could make do with a conventional, rectangular blanket, throw, sleeping bag or even beach towel, a circular shaped trampoline blanket would be aesthetically pleasing on a trampoline due to its shape; be constructed of fabric for warm and cooler conditions; be more inclined to stay within the confines of the trampoline especially with the eyelets and ties option; and be sized to suit the trampoline, but also could be used as a play mat (underneath) the trampoline or as a picnic blanket. Also, the trampoline cover blanket can be constructed into a circular sleeping bag as another example. In addition to an optional fabric bag in which to store the * .* *** * . trampoline cover blanket, and in order to provide more comfort for the users of * ** the trampoline blanket and trampoline sleeping bag, an optional shaped cushion has been designed to complement the shape of the trampoline as well as to temporarily adhere to the trampoline cover sleeping bag and * storage bag. **** S. * * . . Brief Introduction to Drawings
A trampoline cover comprises one or more layers of fabric cut in a circular shape to create a reversible blanket to fit on top of a trampoline (figure Ia). If constructed of more than one layer of fabric, it is sewn together around the perimeter for a multilayered trampoline cover blanket (1 b); or sewn partially around the perimeter to form a circular trampoline cover sleeping bag (ic; 7).
The trampoline cover blanket and trampoline cover sleeping bag are reversibleandare offered in various sizes to suit varying trampoline sizes starting with 1.8 m. in diameter. On the edge of the trampoline cover blanket, there are optional tent-type eyelets (I e;6b) so that lengths of elasticated cord (le;6c) or fabric ties (figurelf;6d) with optional hook and loop fasteners can be threaded through and temporarily attached to the trampoline legs or frame at various intervals to suit the user. The trampoline cover blanket and trampoline cover sleeping bag have an optional fabric storage bag (figure 2a;3a) for storage and an optional trapezium shaped cushion (figure 4) that mimics the shape of the trampoline and can be attached to the storage bag (2d;3d)or to the trampoline cover sleeping bag by means of an optional hook and loop fastening strip (figure 7d).
Detailed Description
One example of the trampoline cover blanket comprises two layers of fabric cut into a circular shape or seamed together around the perimeter with two layers the same size to create a reversible trampoline cover blanket (1 b).
Fleece fabric has been chosen as an example to use for its warmth, light weight, comfort and slight moisture resistance. The other layer if having two layers, is, for example, but not limited to, cotton -selected for a cooler touch in warmer weather. A patterned cotton or darker fleece fabric used to construct the trampoline cover blanket is less likely to show dirt and thus is *..S ** ** another example.

* Another example of the trampoline cover blanket has tent style eyelets (figure * 1 C; figure 6b) installed around the perimeter of trampoline cover blanket described in the preceding paragraph. Lengths of elasticised cord (figure Id, figure 6c) or fabric ties (figure 1 e; figure 6d) with or without optional hook and loop fastening strips are supplied to secure the trampoline cover blanket temporarily to the trampoline legs or frame through some of the eyelets as selected by the user. S. S
* . Another example of the reversible trampoline cover blanket consists of one circular layer of fabric larger (5b) than another smaller circular layer (5c) of fabric sewn to it around the perimeter of the smaller fabric (figure 5). For another variation, the edge of the larger circle can be fringed (5e) if using a fabric such as fleece, as an example.
Other examples of trampoline cover blankets are constructed using, but not limited to the following: water proof fabric, fur fabric, chenille, towelling fabric, with or without interlining and with or without the fabric being quilted although other fabrics can be used. As another option, waterproofing spray is also applied to the fabric. In all examples, if the fabric is not wide enough to achieve the desired size, it can be pieced and then sewn together.
A circular trampoline cover blanket constructed out of just one layer of reversible fabric provides another example. A further example of the trampoline cover blanket construction is of a single layer of fabric cut into a circular shape with the edges fringed.
Another example of the trampoline cover blanket comprises two layers of fabric cut in a circular shape with an optional interlining, however the layers are seamed together (7b) for only approximately one half to two thirds of the way around the circumference to create a trampoline cover circular sleeping bag (7a). The fabric comprising the circular trampoline cover sleeping bag can be quilted or partially quilted (7e) to create other options. Fabric ties or hook and loop fastening strips or snaps or a zipper (7c) are used to close the trampoline cover sleeping bag. The circular trampoline cover sleeping bag has an optional hook and loop fastening strip (7d) in which to attach the optional trapezium shaped cushion.
When not in use, the elasticised cords/fabric ties and trampoline cover blanket or trampoline cover sleeping bag can be stored in the optional rectangular storage bag (figure 2a; 3a) to which the optional trapezium shaped cushion (figure 4a) can be temporarily attached by means of a hook and loop fastening strip (4b) on the outside of the trampoline cover fabric storage bag * (2d;3d). The trampoline cover storage bag is constructed of the same fabric as the trampoline cover blanket or trampoline cover sleeping bag, or in a * coordinating fabric, and has a drawstring tie (3b) or handle (2b). The * * trampoline cover storage bag is also offered with an optional pocket (2c;3c) in * *. which to store the cords or ties or belongings of the user. The optional *:. trampoline cover trapezium shaped cushion (4a) is constructed by means of a * shaped fabric cover on the outside in the same fabric as the trampoline cover blanket or trampoline cover sleeping bag or in a coordinating material and contains hollow fibre/foam filling (4c) and can also, as an option, be attached * . to the trampoline cover sleeping bag via an optional hook and loop fastening strip (4b).
