Abstract

246,962. Haag, A. H. Dec. 9, 1924. Gramophones combined with telephone receivers for optional use as loud-speakers. - A sound amplifier 1 is provided with two inlets 2, 3 connected respectively to a gramophone tone-arm 8 and through a sound conduit 9 to a telephone receiver. The inlets may be formed of a single casting of aluminium or alloy. A main soundcontrolling member 26 linked to rotary valves 32, 38 in the inlets is pivoted at the junction of the latter, the arrangement being such that in all positions the member 26 forms substantially a continuation of the inner walls 41, 42.
