Abstract

A plastic tag 3 e.g. for a bottle, in particular a milk bottle / container, is provided with an aperture 1 to receive the neck of the bottle. The edge of the aperture is scalloped, and a split 2 may be provided at one end which makes the tag more flexible and aids attaching the tag to container. The tag may be coloured to indicate delivery destinations.

Description

Milk container tag This invention relates to a milk container tag which helps identify milk consignments on delivery lorries.
When a milk wholesaler makes deliveries to supermarkets/shops more often than not they have to deliver to more than one customer, so the lorries are full of milk consignments destined for multiple customers at different locations.
Sometimes mistakes are made where part of a consignments are delivered to the wrong customer or wrong location.
To overcome this the present invention purpose is to clearly identify the different milk consignments for each customer by placing the milk tag on the neck of a milk container just under the screw top cap. The milk container with the tag is placed on top of the milk consignment so that it is visible to the driver who is responsible for the delivery of the said milk consignments.
The advantages of the "milk container tag" is that it makes organizing the deliveries on the lorries easier as each customer will be distinguish by the visible colour tag placed on the milk container, as each customer will be represented by a different colour tag so eliminating the risk of delivering someone else's consignment to the wrong supermarket/shop.
An example of the invention will now be described by referring to the accompanying drawings: Figure 1 shows a milk container tag with scalloped aperture at the centre of the tag and slit at one end.
Figure 2 shoWs the milk container tag attached to the container.
In figure 1, scalloped aperture 1 and split 2, that meets the scalloped aperture.
In figure 2, shows the tag 3 employed in it's use, attached to a milk container 4.

Claims (2)

  1. Claims 1. A plastic tag with a scalloped aperture means for attaching the tag to a milk container.
  2. 2. A plastic tag according to claim I, in which the attaching and removing of the tag is made easier by a slit at one end of the tag, makes the tag flexible.
