Abstract
A transportation trolley for a pair of skis comprises a holder 3 mounted on a wheel 6 via a forked swivel system 5 rotatable in bearing 8 and two attachment rubber loops 1. One end of a pair of skis placed flat side to flat side may be positioned within the holder 1 for transport. The skis are held within the holder 1 by the rubber loops being stretched along the length of the skis and looped around the ski's bindings. The apparatus also includes a rubber handle (11) having a first loop (12) which is placable around the pair of skis and a second loop (10) which forms a carrying handle to be griped by a person's hand. With the handle and trolley attached to the skis the handle can be pulled to trail the trolley along the ground to transport the skies with minimal effort.
Description
DESCRIPTION OF SKI caddy-
A unique highly manoeuverable and rugged wheeled trolley, with a handle, designed to carry skiing equipment effortlessly and safely. Made out of tough plastic, rubber and metal, giving a really resilient factor.
The idea of the ski caddy is to help people carry skis in an easier and more comfortable way, helping avoid injury. It can also be stored easily whilst not in use, in a pocket or bag etc. Relating to the enclosed drawings.
The ski caddy holder itself is a rectangular cap that goes on the rear end of a pair of skis when placed flat side to flat side (in their usual carrying or storage mode). The measurements can be made relevant to the current average ski width and depth x2, to ensure that 2 skis can fit inside the cap comfortably.
The 2 stretchy tough rubber bands which are attached to the cap are stretched up the length of the ski and hook over the ski binding, this process is repeated on both skis. Giving a strong fix, this ensures the cap cannot fall off or become detached in any way.
The tough plastic cap has a metal plate fixed inside the bottom section, to which a swiveling metal fork is attached. With the use of a bearing, the fork itself can rotate through 360 degrees. This allows the spikey plastic/rubber ball shaped wheel to remain in contact with the ground at all times, over cambers, dips, lumps and bumps etc etc. It also ensures a very high standard of manoeuverability, making turning easy.
The tough plastic/rubber ball shaped wheel has a metal spindle going trough the centre. Whilst the outside area of the ball shaped wheel is dotted with small spiky nodules, that give excellent grip in all kinds of weather conditions. Ideal for snowy terrain associated with skiing.
The handle is made from tough stretchy rubber, one end in the shape of a handle and the other end is made into a loop. The idea is that the handle part is passed around the pair of skis and threads through the loop part. The handle is then pulled tight, resulting in the skis being made secure and at the same time forming a carrying handle.
You are now ready to pull your skis along on your journey.
