Abstract

A portable alarm suitable for use with the zip closure of a tent door comprise an alarm unit A with a buzzer E, on/off switch B, operation light C and battery F. The alarm is triggered if a rod member H is pulled away from a mount G in the alarm unit causing a lever switch to move. In use, the rod H may be attached to a zip fastener of the tent by cord and ring J,I. When the tent is zipped closed, an unauthorised opening of the zip pulls the rod thus triggering the alarm. The alarm unit may be attached to the tent via two part hook-and-loop fastener, one part sticks on the alarm unit, the other part on the tent.

TENT SECURITY
Description:-Night time tent security alarm what
enables you to sleep giving you peace of mind that you and your family are safe especially children and also your belongings from anyone on the outside.
How it works:-The alarm works by attaching it to the zip of the door of the tent once it is turned on anyone who tries to get into the tent as there try to open the zip it pulls a rod out of the alarm box which triggers the alarm which is quite loud to wake you and your family. If the tent has more than one zip a locking plug is needed which secures the other zip from movement.
How its made:-The alarm is made out of a black box, on/off button, l.e.d light to show it is on, a loud buzzer, leaver switch, plastic rod, Velcro, 2xrings, cord, 2xbatteries.

A) This is a plastic box about 4 inches square that holds the alarm together.
B) This is a on/off switch can also be changed to a key switch.
C) A l.e.d light lets you know the alarm is set to the on position.
D) I have used a lever switch when the lever is out the alarm will sound and wake you up.
E) The buzzer should be loud enough to wake you.
F) The battery pack requires AA batteries.
G) Rubber mounts to hold the plastic rod in place when set.
H) The plastic rod that pushes the lever switch into position.
I) A round ring that fits through the plastic rod and has cord on the other end.
J) Cord with another ring on the end (Zip).
K) Velcro pad sticks on the back of the alarm box and the other part sticks on your tent which can stay there for when you take the tent down.
L) If your tent has 2 zips this is a locking button to stop anyone opening it from the other end also stays on the tent when you put it down.
