Abstract

An advertising and information device for drinking glasses comprises a card or flexible plastic device on which is printed advertising, promotions or public information. It is designed to be mounted on the rim of a drinking glass via one or more slits either in the form of two separate slits 1 or as a single curved slit 2. An area 3 is provided for printing advertising or information messages.

Device for advertising products or promotions or providing information on drinks glasses
DESCRIPTION
Background
There is a need for a low cost mass volume advertising and public information facility that will directly target users of a particular product, in this case beverages.
Statement of Invention
A device which is slit to be able to fit over the rim of a drinking glass. The device can be printed with brand advertising or public information and can be produced in custom colours.
The device will be described with reference to Drawing 1.
The device is to be made from card or flexible plastic. Slits are made in the device to enable it to fit over the rim of a drinking glass. There may be two separate slits to the edge of the device (1) or one curved slit within the device (2) depending on requirements.
The device has an area that can be printed (3) to advertise brand names, offer promotional discounts and can themselves be used as coupons.
The device can be placed on the glass at the point of sale of the beverage or can be stored in dispensers for public access.
The device may also be printed with public awareness information such as "Don't Drink and Drive".
The device can be used as a service for consumers e.g. printed with "This drink is not finished" The colour and size of the device is variable to suit the requirements of the user.

  1. CLAIMS1. A printed device that is held on the rim of a drinking glass made from card or plastic.
  2. 2. A printed device according to claim 1 that has two separate straight slits.
  3. 3. A printed device according to claim 1 that has one curved slit.
  4. 4. A printed device according to any of the other claims, in which the size and colour of the device is variable according to preference.Page 2
