Description
PAPER BRICK MAKER
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a paper brick maker, and more particularly to a paper brick maker that easily and conveniently presses the waste paper with optional flammable material into paper bricks.
2. Description of Related Art
Starting fire is troublesome and has difficulty by use of woods in grate, camping fire or barbecue stove. Waste paper is a quickly flammable material readily available in household and is perfect to be the substitution for woods but it does not sustain the fire long in form of sheets. However, if the waste paper can be shaped into solid brick, the disadvantage of short lighting is overcome to make the waste paper an excellent substitution to woods. Therefore, a paper brick maker is invented to prepare the paper bricks for users in household.
A conventional paper brick maker comprises a body composed of a front, rear, rightside, lefiside boards with a pedestal extending downward from bottom of the body, a base having a bottom board with drain holes and two resting wings extending from two ends of the bottom board, a squeezing base being a U-shaped body with multiple holes and operationally accommodated inside the body, two abutting rods mounted to top of the squeezing base, and two handles pivotally attached to two ends of the body and crossing to abut and push the abutting rods to make the squeezing base lowered.
The conventional paper make enables to press the waste paper after soaking (packed with wood chips or other flammable material) into paper bricks. After shaping, the paper bricks are dried to treat as firing material for grate or camping fire. However, the body of the conventional paper brick is easily deformed by the strong force when pressing the squeezing base to make the paper brick because its bottom is open except two grills for supporting. Therefore, the conventional paper brick maker has poor durability and short lifespan because the grills easily deform or even break to ruin the body.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
A main objective of the present invention is to provide a paper brick maker that is convenient in use and has excellent strengthening efficiency.
To achieve the foregoing objective, the paper brick maker comprises: a body composed of a U-shaped frame and two sideboards secured together at two ends of the body, wherein the U-shaped frame has a bottom with hollows in parts and two sidewalls; a bracket base being U-shaped and having a bottom with multiple drain holes and two sidewalls each having a resting wing to locate on the sideboards of the body when the bracket base is received into the body; a pressing base being U-shaped, snugly received inside the bracket base and having two abutting rods mounted at two ends and crossing over a top of the pressing base; a first handle pivotally mounted at one of the two ends of the body to operationally press corresponding one of the two abutting rods; and a second handle pivotally mounted at another of the two ends of the body to operationally press corresponding another one of the two abutting rods.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
A paper brick maker in accordance with the present invention comprises a body, a bracket base, a pressing base, a first handle and a second end, wherein the body is composed of a U-shaped frame and two sideboards.
The U-shaped frame has a bottom with hollow and two strengthening walls.
Two feet are under the two sideboards respectively. The bracket base has a bottom with multiple drain holes and two resting wings and is received inside the body. The pressing base is snugly received inside the bracket base and has two abutting rods mounted at top. The first and second pivotally attach to two ends of the body. Thereby, the waste paper is clamped between the bracket base and the pressing base to make waste paper brick when pushing the abutting rods by pivoting the handles.
As shown in Figs 1 to 3, a preferred embodiment of the paper brick maker in accordance with the present invention comprises a body 1, a bracket base 2, a pressing base 3, a first handle 4 and a second handle 5, wherein the body 1 is composed of a U-shaped frame 11 and two sideboards 12, 13 combined together at two ends of the body 1 by riveting. The U-shaped frame 11 of the body 1 has a bottom with two hollows 111 and two sidewalls with two strengthening fins 114 erecting at front and rear ends of the bottom. The bottom especially has two margins 112 formed at the front and rear ends respectively and multiple supporting strips 113 extending between the two margins 112 to perform the hollows 111. Each of the two sidewalls of the U-shaped frame 11 has two pivotal axial holes 115, 116 defined in an upper portion at two ends of each sidewall. Two feet 121, 131 are formed at lower portions of the two sideboards 12, 13 respectively and each sideboard 12, 13 further has a lateral stop flange 122, 132 extending outward.
The bracket base 2 has a bottom 21 with multiple drain holes 211 arranged in array and two sidewalls (not numbered) with multiple drain holes 221 arranged in array too. Each sidewall of the bracket base 2 has a resting wing 22 and a bent flange 222 for hand-carrying to overall perform an inverted L-shape. The bracket base 2 is separately accommodated inside the body 1 to make the bottom 21 and the resting wings 22 abut the bottom of the body 1 and the lateral stop flanges 122, 132 of the sideboards 12, 13 for positioning.
The pressing base 3 snugly received inside the bracket base 2 is U-shaped in cross-section and has a bottom and two sidewalls with multiple through holes 31. Moreover, the bottom of the pressing base 3 has multiple enhancing ribs 32 stamped upward. Two abutting rods 33, 34 are mounted at top of the pressing base 3 and secured between the sidewalls of the pressing base 3.
The first and second handles 4, 5 are U-shaped rods with different widths between two pairs of distal ends and each have a grip portion 41, 51 at middle. Each distal end on each handles 4, 5 have a pivotal hole 42, 52 to align with corresponding one of the axial holes 115, 116 and to pivotally engage with the body 1 by two pivotal shafts 6, 7 with C-clasps respectively.
When the paper brick maker is operated, as shown in Figs. 4 to 8, the waste paper A is soaked and then loaded with optional wood chips or other flammable material into the body 1 on the bracket base 2. The pressing base 3 is located over the waste paper A inside the body 1. When pressing, the first and second handles 4, 5 are driven inward toward each other until cross.
Then, the crossed handles 4, 5 are further pushed downward to press the pressing base 3 by holding the grip portions 41, 51. Because the handles 4, 5 push the abutting rods 33, 34 in leverage way, it is effort-saving to diminish the volume of the waste paper A, squeeze water and shape the paper brick A' into solid. The squeezed water is released via the through holes 31 on the pressing base 3, the drain holes 211 on the bracket base 2 and the hollows 111 on the U-shaped frame 11 of the body 1. When the pressing base 3 is to an ultimate bottommost position, the abutting rods 33, 34 rest on the strengthening fins 114 at the front and rear sidewalls on the U-shaped frame 11 of the body 1. When the paper brick A' is done, the first and second handles 4, 5 are pulled outward in reverse and away from the pressing base 3 and then the pressing base 3 is free to be taken out from the body 1. The bracket base 2 is lifted up by holding the bent flanges 222 on the resting wings 22 to remove the solid shaped paper brick A' conveniently. After drying the paper brick A' with sun exposure or wind dry, the final paper brick is a convenient combustion material and can be stored neatly.
According to above description, the paper brick maker has the following advantages: 1. The U-shaped frame 11 of body 1 is composed of the bottom and the front and rear sidewalls integrally and the bottom is a plan board with hollows 111 in part for draining water. Therefore, the U-shaped frame 11 has excellent strength to avoid the deformation or breakage from the bottom as shown in the conventional paper brick maker when the paper brick is shaped by DIY. The paper brick maker in the present invention has better duration and elongated lifespan.
2. The operation of the paper brick maker is convenient and sufficient to press the waste paper stuff into blocks by exerting because the structural strength is improved without breakage worry.
