Abstract

A traffic light bracket has an L shape and is formed of plastic. The bracket has a lattice or bird nest or web structure, which allows the bracket to be light whilst retaining its strength. The bracket may have slots to allow for adjustment. The bracket may have a pole mounting pad.

Description

Super Lightweight Traffic Signal Bracket This invention relates to a range of brackets to mount traffic signal aspects and above ground detectors.
The brackets are moulded from high quality nylon which overcomes the corrosion and weight issues with the conventional mild steel brackets.
The bracket design includes integrated mounting pad to improve installation techniques and manual handling issues. The bracket also includes a birds-nest' strengthening bar design which provides strength and flexibility. This design also provides a non-slip grip to aid on-site handling.
The design of the bracket also provides a degree of lateral cushioning which helps minimise potential damage should vehicles strike the signal heads or detectors.
The bracket is designed to fit current UK approved signal heads and above ground detectors. The bracket includes a slot to enable any signal head or above ground detector to be adjusted along the bracket length. The integrated pole pad also has slots to aid on-site installation.
The bracket is designed to provide a secure fixing for any signal head or detector up to 120kg.
