Abstract

A litter bin includes an advertising medium where companies can promote their products or brands in a public environment like public houses, cafés and hotels by having their advertising on the side of the bin. The bin has a trap to prevent the litter, such as snack packets, popping out. The bin splits in two for ease of emptying and cleaning and is stackable for ease of collecting and distributing.

Description

KrisBIN The product is called KrisBIN and it has two roles: The primary role is for companies to promote their brands and products on it where it would be located in a public environment like public houses, cafés, hotels etc. The secondary role is for customers of these establishments (public houses, cafés, hotels etc) to put their empty snack, condiments packets etc (litter) in so as to keep the local environment clean.
It has a packet trap which prevents snack packets from popping up/out of the KrisBIN as shown in figures 3 and 4.
It consists of two parts a top and a bottom. They connect together using a bayonet type of connection as shown in figures 1 and 3. However, KrisBIN is made of 3 parts: The top section which is one part as shown in figures 3 and 4, and a bottom section which is made of two parts as shown in figures 5 and 6.
The product is made from a choice of two materials: Fire retardant ABS plastic or polypropylene. The KrisBIN can be produced in a combination of up to 3 different colours.
The advertising is printed on the sides of the KrisBIN.
The KrisBIN is stackable so that people can collect them easily as well as distribute them just as easily.
