Abstract

Apparatus (2) for securing items to a surface (4, 6), which apparatus (2) comprises an item-supporting member (10) which is for being releasably fastened to the surface (4, 6), and a tool (12) for releasably fastening the item-supporting member (10) to the surface (4, 6) and for removing the item- supporting member (10) from the surface (4, 6): the tool (12) being such that it is operable from floor level (14); and the item-supporting member (10) being such that it comprises a receiving portion (16) for receiving fastener means (22) for releasably fastening the item-supporting member (10) to the surface (4, 6), and tool-engaging means (18) for releasably engaging with the tool (12) such that the tool (12) is able to fasten and remove the item- supporting member (10); and the apparatus (2) being such that in use the tool (12) extends at an acute angle with respect to the receiving portion (16) whereby the tool (12) is operable from the floor level (14) at a position other than with a longitudinal axis of the tool (12) being at 90° to the surface (4, 6).
