Description

PROFILE TO SUPPORT MESH TRAYS
The invention, as stated in the present specification, relates to a profile to support mesh trays.
More specifically, the object of the invention consists of a profile whose aim is founded on constituting a quick supporting element applicable to cable trays, of the so-called mesh trays constituted by so-called chain wires or rods, disposed longitudinally, and so-called weft wires or rods, U-shaped and disposed transversally, so that they form a channel for the reception and support of the cables of an electrical system, and which, specifically, are required to be arranged supported at height or anchored to the facing.
The field of application of the present invention is within the industry sector dedicated to the manufacture of elements and accessories applicable in electrical systems and such like.
Currently there are different devices known intended for the aim of this invention, amongst which should be mentioned as most relevant, the foflowing documents: -ESI 049533, relating to a tray lifting support consisting of a plate with at least one tab punched upwards, disposed in the longitudinal direction of the support and joined thereto at one end and with the opposite end free, being distanced enough so as to house a longitudinal rod thereunder which is characterized in that each tab has a cleft on its lower face which facilitates its folding.
-ES1023171, which consists of a support for trays constituted by a corbel shelf which has an upper horizontal wall which folds downwards forming vertical parallel walls, which join to a wall or column, characterized in that the upper wall has at least one tab punched upwards disposed in longitudinal direction to the tray joined at its rear end, said tab being raised.
-ES2175318, relating to a corbel, which, amongst other characteristics, has a system of slots cut out in a limited fashion astride the assembly wall and at the ends of the side wall, and with a continuous joint of the assembly wall formed of the side opposite that side wall.
-ES2181505, relating to a fastening device of a rod which features a flat area with an aperture, characterized in that it is of a sheet and comprises a comprehensively flat bottom wherefrom emerges a leg intended to pass through said aperture and be applied in the wire.
-ES2192209, which consists of a tray bearing element for mesh wire cable of long-lined wire components or rods which comprise at least one channel profile with a dorsal wall between two wings which feature so-called support notches, repeated along the length of the profile with a step corresponding to a receiving interval of the aforementioned long-lined components, the aforementioned notches being limited to being cut out on either side between the edges of the dorsal wall, i.e., straddling them and therefore on the dorsal wall as well as partially on the two wings, in order to provide on the dorsal wall, on the vertical of each support notch, a single tab limited in length and width to permit the coupling of long-lined components of the cable tray and be collapsible around a long-lined component coupled to the support notch.
-And lastly, W02005062436, which consists of an accessory to lift and join mesh trays, which disposes of two first parallel housings to receive weft threads and at least another housing perpendicular to the previous ones. Additionally, some will house weft wires and the other a chain wire.
The aforementioned documents, however, even though they describe elements which, logically as they are intended for the same aim, feature, some of them, certain characteristics close to those which are proposed by this profile, they lack the specific singularities which distinguish the present invention, so it can be stated that the existence of a profile which allows the supporting of mesh trays by means of a simple profile lacking internal edges on its external wall for the resting of the tray and forming of upper tabs is unknown.
The profile to support mesh trays proposed by the present invention, as has been mentioned, is particularly intended to be applicable as a quick support element for cable trays, of those constituted by longitudinal rods and transversal rods, which require being disposed supported at height or anchored to the facing, is constituted from a generally C-shaped cross-section body, which features a base from each of whose ends perpendicularly emerge lateral branches finished off above in arcuations of reduced dimensions, which are facing towards the interior of the body and parallel to the base.
The abovementioned lateral branches of the body forming the profile feature a plurality of cut-outs suitable to permit the coupling of the longitudinal rods present on the base of the tray wherefore it is intended, each one of said cut-outs being disposed in correspondence with other cut-outs made on the surface of the arcuations, so that they determine tabs distributed along said arcuations.
In this way, in order to achieve the fastening of the tray on the profile, the longitudinal rods are inserted through the cut-outs of the arcuations, remaining housed in the interior of the cut-outs of the lateral branches.
The profile of the invention features the special feature of materializing the seating of the longitudinal rods on support points defined exclusively by the cut-outs made on both opposing lateral branches of the profile, without it being necessary to incorporate an additiona' internal support by means of parallel interior edges to the aforementioned external lateral branches of the profile, thereby considerably reducing the material which forms said element.
Therefore, as interior edges do not exist on the body of the profile which necessarily constitutes an additional seating of the longitudinal rods, it permits us to consider the possibility that the tabs incorporated by the profile are not limited in width.
The possibility is considered that the tabs and/or the lower edge of the cut-outs provided on the lateral branches of said body are equipped with an inclination towards the interior with respect to an upper horizontal surface of the body of the profile.
Once the rods have been inserted in the aforementioned cut-outs, the tabs can be folded downwards thereupon to give the hook greater security.
Additionally, the profile can be supported at height or also on the facing, the base of the C-shaped body having through holes intended for the
introduction of fastening elements to the facing.
The profile described to support mesh trays consequently represents an innovative structure of structural and constitutive characteristics unknown to date for such a purpose, reasons which, together with its practical utility, provide it with sufficient foundation to obtain the privilege of exclusivity it seeks.
In order to complement the description being carried out and with the aim of helping towards a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, the present specification is accompanied by a set of plans, as an integral part thereof, wherein the following has been represented in an illustrative and non-I imitative character: figs. 1 and 2 show a side elevational view and a front elevational view, respectively, of the profile to support mesh trays object of the invention, being able to observe therein the general configuration of the body which forms it; fig. 3, 4 and 5 show respective perspective views of the profile of the invention, observing therein the main parts and elements which comprise it such as the configuration and arrangement thereof; fig. 6 shows a side elevational view of an enlarged close-up of the profile, observing therein an example of the inclination of the interior tabs and edges it has; figs. 7 to 11 show several perspective views of the profile coupled to the tray, observing therein the manner wherein said coupling is carried out.
In view of the abovementioned figures, and in accordance with the adopted numeration, an example of preferred embodiment of the invention can be observed therein, which comprises the parts and elements which are indicated and described in detail below.
Thus, as can be observed in said figures, the profile proposed consists essentially of a general C-shaped cross-section body (1), which features a base (2) from each of whose ends perpendicularly emerge lateral branches (3) finished off above in arcuations (4) of reduced dimensions, which are facing towards the interior of the body (1) and parallel to the base (2).
The abovementioned lateral branches (3) of the body (1) feature a plurality of cut-outs (5) suitable to permit the coupling of the longitudinal rods (6) present on the base of the tray (7), each one of said cut-outs (5) being disposed in correspondence with other cut-outs (8) made in the arcuations (4), so that they determine tabs (9) distributed along the surface of said arcuations (4).
In this way, in order to achieve the fastening of the tray (7) on the body (1) forming the profile, the longitudinal rods (6) are inserted through the aforementioned cut-outs (5) of the arcuations (4) to remain housed in the interior of the cut-outs (5) of the lateral branches (3).
It is important to point out that the body (1) of the profile features the special feature of materializing the seating of the longitudinal rods (6) on support points defined exclusively by the cut-outs (5) made on both opposing lateral branches (3) of the profile, without it being necessary to incorporate an additional internal support by means of parallel interior edges to the aforementioned external lateral branches (3) of the profile.
It is important to mention that the tabs (9) and/or lower edge (11) of the cut-outs (5) provided on the lateral branches (3) of said body (1) are equipped with an inclination towards the interior, with respect to an upper horizontal surface (10) of the body (1).
It is considered as preference that said inclination is present both on the tabs (9) and on the lower edge (11) of the cut-outs (5) and preferably that said inclination is between 30 and 8° for both.
It should be pointed out that once the rods (6) have been inserted in the cut-outs (5) of the lateral branches (3), the tabs (9) can be folded downwards on the rods (6) to give the hook greater security.
Finally, on the base (2) of the C-shaped body (1), it can have through holes (12) intended for the introduction of fastening elements to the facing, such as screws or the such like, as well as having the profile supported at height.
