Abstract

A device for analysing the nutritional values of a given portion of food and comparing them against the RDA includes a container (2) in which a portion of food is put, blades (3) for cutting the food to form a paste and means (4) for establishing the weight of the food.

Description

THE FOOD COUNTER
This invention is to provide all persons throughout the world to know exactly what they are consuming in connection with fat, sugars, salt, saturates and calories in their everyday food that they prepare freshly at home. When we enter the kitchen most of us never read the labelling on the food packaging as we have most probably read this when purchased from the store, or are not bothered until later on in life when the health problems begin.
This is why I want this device to be in every household throughout the world.
The problem is that obesity is spiralling out of control. There are many reasons for this, we cant be bothered to cook at home so will have a takeaway, eat junk food as we are too busy to take a lunch hour at work and when we come home after a hard days work we will again most likely order a pizza orjust take something from out of the freezer and bung It straight into the oven. You may think what's wrong with that it's perfectly alright.
Yes maybe, but do you know what you are actually eating with relation to the recommended daily allowance, most probably not.
This device is designed to tell us what we are consuming in relation to fat, saturates, sugar, salt and calories. Some of our favourite foods are steaks, pies, pasties, chips, Indian curry's, Chinese etc. By knowing what the RDA is in the food we are likely to cut back on all of those ingredients that will in the long term cause us some major health problems for the future.
This device is very simple to use as all you have to do is put a small amount of each different food into the container and let the device do the rest. Each of the following points relate to figure 1/1 1. The lid which is tightened when in operation.
2. The container in which the food is out into.
3. Blades which cut the foods into small pieces and then form a paste.
4. The weight of the food in the container.
5. Each square represents the RDA 6. OnIOff switch 7. Time Remaining.
8. Stabilisers.
9. Electric wire and plug to be inserted into the plug.
10. The base which will have the motor inside.
This device can be used in an office work place, hotel, fast food outlets or anywhere else where food is served directly to the customer.

Claims (4)

  2. 2. It will provide every user of the device what their intake is and what they need to cut back on in order to have a healthy lifestyle.
  3. 3. Also this will give more confidence when making the food that what ingredients you are putting into the cooking is the correct amount. It will cut out the worry knowing that what you had the night before was not too much of the wrong foods and that your illness could be linked to another health problem.
