Abstract

A solar generator comprises a lens, a boiler, a steam engine and a turbine/generator. The turbine/generator is driven by the steam engine, the boiler of which is heated by the rays of the sun passing through the lens. A smaller or larger lens can be used depending on the electrical power output required. Furthermore, multiple lenses can be positioned in banks depending on the electrical power output required. Preferably, the lens is mounted on a rotating gantry or platform and may also rotate on a spindle. If an excess of electrical power is generated, the surplus can be stored in batteries or sold to the mains grid. In use, the invention is designed to produce electrical power that is pollution and emission free.

Description

Solar' Generator Title Lenson' This invention relates to the production of Electricity in all its forms using the heat of the sun.
This invention do's not use'Solar' panels. It uses direct sunlight.
The advantage of this invention is that the fuel costs for this type of Electricity production is free once the initial set up costs have been met.
Fuel costs and the need to conserve our existing reliance. Upon oil and other carbon fuels will be realised by this invention.
An example of the invention will now be described by referring to the accompanying drawings: * Fig 1 shows an alternator. The output of which will be dermined apon its use for domestic or commercial genertaion, or turbine.
* Fig 2 shows a steam engine, again size and power to be sufficent to run a domestic or commercial alternator.
* Fig 3 shows a steam boiler with a heating surface panel of sufficient strength to absorb the suns heat, to create the volume of steam to power the engine which in turns drives the alternator.
* Fig4seepage2. Fig 4
Shows the power source that will provide heat to the boiler, in turn drive the steam engine that will in turn drive the alternator and produce Electricity.
The lense will be mounted on a rotating gantry as shown in fig 4. The lense will also rotate on a spindle.
To enable the suns rays pass through the lense onto the prepared surface of the boiler generating sufficient heat steam to drive the engine and on to drive the alternator or turbine whichever the case may be and of course during the hours of sunlight, The invention will have small (Households) and large, possibly enough heat to power the Draks' station. The lenses will range from small to very large installed singly or in banks of two, four, six and so on.
Fig. 5 shows a side view of the gantry, there will be sufficient movement via the rotating base and lense spindle to ensure maximum contact. IE sunrays and boiler surface whatever the sun shines. Claim
