Abstract

A flood barrier including a framework comprising two brackets that are secured to the wall either side of the door and a panel that slides into the bracket. The panel may have a portion that extends over the doorstep covering an air vent that is situated in the doorstep. The brackets may be secured to the wall using a number of screws. A waterproof sealant may be used between the brackets and the wall. The panel may be of varying thickness and may be covered with vinyl or plastic. A similar system could be used to protect windows.

Description

The Home Floodgate system is a way of preventing flood water, river, rain or sea from entering a home, office, shop or other building, therefore protecting the people and contents in that building from water damage, therefore giving the owners of vulnerable properties peace of mind and financial savings.
Due to the different sizes of doors and windows the specifications have to be flexible
