Abstract

A training aid comprises a punch bag C with a vertical central rod F and an arm E rotatably attached to the central rod F. The punch bag C may be padded. The arm E may have a pad G mounted on the free end of the arm E. The training aid may be used as a sparring partner for boxing training. The training aid may be fixed or free standing.

Description

* 2458688 A Brief DescriDtjon My invention is a punch bag that hits back at your control. A punch bag fitted with a rotating arm that simulates a punch.

Background.
This invention solves the problem of replacing an absent training partner when your unable to train with 1.So when your unable 2 train or don't want to train with a partner this invention replaces them so you can still simulate a sparring partner.
Statement of invention
This invention provides an aid to a person who wants to slowly progress on to sparring or fighting against others, or to improve fighting techniques. This helps overcome a failing in the market at the moment.
Advantages * Trainers can train from home in there own environment, experiencing fighting with the absence of an opponent.
* Trainers can gain conlidence in sparring slowly and in their own progression without getting hurt.
* Trainers can work out and fight at their own speed and tempo * They can control how hard and fast they are hit * Trainers can condition their heads from head shots * Can easily be operated * Good boxing style workout * Easy set up * Easy manufacture * Preferably a punch bag to add extra cover to the inner core which is a steel supporting bar.
* Preferably a bag to cover a wider area of striking points * Doesn't have to be a punch bag could be a series of fixed pads.

Introduction to drawing
Examples of my invention Will now be described by referring to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1. Shows the apparatus not in operation how it looks as standing with all its components. (In the form of a bag) Figure 2. Shows the apparatus in operation. (In the form of a bag) Figure3. Apparatus in pad form Figure4. A break down of the components.

This invention relates to Training aids for striking and weaving around.
When a person hits a bag it swings and absorbs the blow but does not strike back. A person may work as a pair with pads they alternatively strike. This is beneficial if the trainer trains alone at home as they are limited in their training methods and also if the trainer is just starting out they are in-experienced in sparring and not confident.
My invention allows trainers to strike it however they wish i.e. punch, kick, knee etc. They can strike a moving target (pad) witch is fixed to a steel rod set of the main steel rod witch is covered in padding where they are struck, use figure 1 and 4. When hit the pad rotates in the direction hit allowing the trainer to duck, weave, manoeuvre around the pad as it simulates a punch or a kick depending where the moving target is located. Figure 2 allows you to see how it works when in operation. Figure 3 shows you another way the apparatus could be padded.
In figure 1 (A) and (B) are where the possible places the supports could b fixed or whether it will b ceiling or floor mounted. (C) In figure 1 is a bag surrounding (F) which is a steel bar that in this instance is the centre body, which makes up this apparatus. (D) Represents the collar that allows the pad to swing around. (E) Is the possible bar that would be fixed to (G) the striking pad.
Figure 2 the trainer will strike (C) and (G) when (0) is struck it will rotate in that direction.
Figure (3) (A) to (D) be the same components (0) just shows a pad, which also could protect (A) and the trainer can strike. (F) Is a weighted bottom but this isn't a necessary means of support.
Figure 4 is just a break down of the possible components that cud make up this apparatus. Page:
