Abstract

The present invention relates to a shrink sleeve (1) which for easier adaptation of the sleeve (1) to varying required lengths of a cable to be insulated comprises at least one cutting area (2) having a wall thickness (T) reduced in comparison with the cylindrical wall thickness (W) of the sleeve. The sleeve can be used for insulating or connecting wires. The inventive sleeve might also be used for other purposes such as stress grading or conductively extending rather than just insulating.
