Description
SELF-CLOSING WATER SAVING VALVE
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention related to faucets, and particularly to a self-closing water saving valve.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Generally, the frequently used water valves are rotatable or pressible faucets. However in operation of the faucet, if the user's hand is adhered to soap, the user habitually leaves the faucet to open and water flows continuously so as to induce the waste of water. Furthermore, in public place, many people retain the faucets to open in the process of using the faucet so as to retain the cleanness of the hand not to touch the faucet.
However the water is wasted in the process. Thereby to improve the above mentioned defects and thus to save water, water saving faucet and self-closing faucet are developed. The former is expensive and thus is not used widely. In the later, a pressure is applied to the elements of the faucet so that the elements are reduced into a cover and thus the elements will restore by a spring resilient force so that the external water flowing through the waterhole of the valve and then fills into the space in the cover so that the elements return gradually. Thus the timc for restoring the elements is achieved. By prolong the closing time of the faucet, the wate valve can be used to supply water. By above description, it is known that in the prior art self closing faucet, the closing time is controlled by the hole size of the valve elements. The longer the closing time, the small the size of the hole. However to make the size of the water hole small, the bathing faucet must has a hole size as small as below 0.15mm, which is difficult in machining and the cost is high.
Furthermore, the small size hole is easy to seal by impurities or dregs so that the closing lime of the water valve can not be well controlled.
The various objects and advantages of the present invention will be more readily understood from the following detailed description when read in conjunction with the appended drawing.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Fig. 1 is an exploded perspective view of the present invention.
Fig. 2 is an enlarged schematic cross sectional view showing the cover of the present invention, wherein the central shaft is at a normal position.
Fig. 3 is a lateral enlarged cross sectional view of the cover of the present invention, where the central shaft is pushed to the lower end.
Fig. 4 is a cross sectional view showing the components of the present invention, where the central shaft is pressed to the lower end to a position so that the valve body can supply water.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
Accordingly, the object of the present invention is to provides a self-closing water saving valve, wherein a thimble is installed in a throttle hole so as to reduce the size of the hole and thus the water flow is reduced and prolong the closing time of the water valve. By the reciprocal movement of the thimble in the hole, the impurities and dregs in the hole are removed so as to avoid that the hole is sealed.
To achieve above object, the present invention provides a self-closing water saving valve includes a cover 1, a restoring spring 2, a thimble spring 3, a spring receiving cylinder 4, a central shaft 5, a water stop ring 6, a positioning spring 62, a spring positioning cover 63, a water valve stop ring 7 and a water valve bush 8 and a press head 9, wherein the spring receiving cylinder 4 is firmly secured to a lower opening of a water flow path of the central shaft 5; a top of the spring receiving cylinder 4 has a penetrating throttle hole 41 and the thimble spring 3 has a long thimble 31 extending from one end of the restoring spring to penetrating to and protruded from another with a predetermined length; the spring receiving cylinder 4 serves to receive the thimble spring 3 and the long thimble 31 is inserted into the throttle hole 41. The long thimble 31 in the thimble spring 3 is inserted into the throttle hole 41 to reduce the flow area so as to reduce the water flow in the throttle hole and thus the close time of the water outputted from the water supply valve A is prolong. Besides, each time, the water valve is closed, the long thimble 31 will reciprocally move in the throttle hole 41 for removing the impurities and dregs so as to prevent the minor objects to seal the hole.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In order that those skilled in the art can further understand the present invention, a description will be provided in the following in details. However, these descriptions and the appended drawings are only used to cause those skilled in the art to understand the objects, features, and characteristics of the present invention, but not to be used to confine the scope and spirit of the present invention defined in the appended claims.
Referring to attached drawings, the self-closing water saving valve includes a cover 1, a restoring spring 2, a thimble spring 3, a spring receiving cylinder 4, a central shaft 5, a water stop ring 6, a positioning spring 62, a spring positioning cover 63, a water valve stop ring 7 and a water valve bush 8 and a press head 9. The central shaft 5 is formed as a cap. An upper periphery thereof is installed with a water through hole 12. The restoring spring 2 has an approximately round tapered spring for exactly covering the inner lower end of the cover 1. The thimble spring 3 has a long thimble 31 extending from one end of the spring to penetrating to and protruded from another with a predetermined length. The spring receiving cylinder 4 serves to receive the thimble spring 3 and a top thereof has a penetrating throttle hole 41. A middle section of the central shaft 5 is installed with a penetrating walerhole 51 which is communicated to a hollow portion 52 in the central shaft 5. A lower opening of the hollow portion 52 is exactly embedded to the spring receiving cylinder 4. A supporting seat 53 is installed at a lower end of the central shaft 5. A lower end surface of the supporting seat 53 is installed an annular recess 531 for retaining the restoring spring 2. The water stop ring 6 can be installed to the supporting seat 53 of the central shaft 5 so that the edge of the water stop ring 6 is tightly engaged to the inner wall of the cover 1. In the spring positioning cover 63 is screwed to the thread of the middle section of the central shaft 5. A lower end of the spring positioning cover 63 is installed with the positioning spring 62 so that the positioning spring 62 applies with a pressure to the water stop ring 6. The water valve stop ring 7 is engaged and fixed to an upper annular groove 55 at the upper section of the central shaft 5. The water valve bush 8 has a hollow mushroom shape. A central portion thereof has a penetrating water outlet hole 81 which can receive the central shaft 5.
A top of the water valve bush 8 has a plurality of water outlet grooves 82. A lower side thereof has a bush 83 which can be engaged to the cover 1. The press head 9 has a lock seat 91, a restoring spring 92, and a press hat 93. A lower periphery of the lock has outer threads 911 and a water stop ring 912. The lock seat has a penetrating axial hole 914 which is pivoted to a press rod 931 which is installed to the press heat 93. The restoring spring 92 is installed between the lock seat 91 and the press hat 93.
The valve structure of the present invention is assembled to a water supply valve A so that the cover 1, restoring spring 2, thimble spring 3, central shaft 5 and water valve bush 8, etc. are sequentially assembled to the valve chamber Al of the water supply valve A. The outer thread 911 of the lock seat 91 is locked to the inner thread A2 at an opening of the valve room Al of the water supply valve A so that the press head 9 is installed to the water supply valve A. Thereby, the structure of the present invention can be assembled to the water supply valve A. Normally, the central shaft 5 is pushed by the restoring spring 2 at the lower end thereof and the thimble spring 3 to be retained at an upper position so that the water valve stop ring 7 at the central shaft 5 is exactly sealed to the water outlet hole 81 of the water valve bush 8 to isolate the water from the water supply valve A. Referring to Figs. 2 to 4, in use of the present invention, when pressing the press hat 92 of the press head 9 so that the press rod 93 1 presses and ejects the central shaft 5, the central shaft 5 and water valve stop ring 7 and the water stop ring 6 to displace to the lower portion of cover 1. Meanwhile, the restoring spring 2 and the thimble spring 3 are compressed, when the water stop ring 6 moves towards the bottom of the cover 1, the water pressure in the cover I will be affected so that the edge of the water stop ring 6 is induced slightly and thus deformed. A gap is formed between the edge of the water stop ring 6 and the cover 1 so that the water in the cover 1 will drain out rapidly from the gap. At this state, the water outlet hole 81 of the water valve bush 8 is not shielded by the water valve stop ring 7 and thus is opened. That is, water entering into the water inlet A3 of the water supply valve A will flow through the water hole 12 of the cover 1 and the water outlet hole 81 of the water valve bush 8 and the water outlet grooves 82 to drain out from the water outlet hole A4 of the water supply valve A. When the press head 9 is released, the hat 92 and the press rod 931 are ejected by the resilient force from the restoring spring 92 to restore to the original positions and the central shaft 5 and the water stop ring 6 moves upwards by the resilient force of the restoring spring 2 and the thimble spring 3. At this state, the edge of the water stop ring 6 restore by the action of the water pressure at the upper side to as to tightly adhere to the inner wall of the cover 1. Therefore, the water at the upper side of the cover 1 only flows through the water hole 51 and the hollow portion 52 of the central shaft 5. Then the water flows through the throttle hole 41 of the spring receiving cylinder 4 to fill slowly into the inner space of the cover 1 at the lower side of the water stop ring 6 until the central shaft 5 is ejected to the original position by the resilient force from the restoring spring 2 and the thimble spring 3 so that the water valve stop ring 7 on the central shaft 5 is further shielded by the water outlet hole 81 of the water valve bush 8 to isolate the water flow of the water supply valve A. Thereby the closing time of the outer outputted from the water supply valve A can be prolonged.
In above mentioned structure, the long thimble 31 in the thimble spring 3 is inserted into the throttle hole 41 to reduce the flow area so as to reduce the water flow in the throttle hole and thus the close time of the water outputted from the water supply valve A is prolong. Besides, each time, the water valve is closed, the long thimble 31 will reciprocally move in the throttle hole 41 for removing the impurities and dregs so as to prevent the minor objects to seal the hole.
The present invention is thus described, it will be obvious that the same may be varied in many ways. Such variations are not to be regarded as a departure from the spirit and scope of the present invention, and all such modifications as would be obvious to one skilled in the art are intended to be included within the scope of the following claims.
