Abstract

A folding travel chair for a child comprises a padded material structure with adjustable fixings which enable it to be attached to a standard chair The travel chair may comprise a back panel C, side straps B1, B2 to be attached around the back of the standard chair, a gusset panel E on which to sit the child and tabs D1, D2 to be folded and secured around the child. The travel chair may further comprise a panel F to be wrapped around the child and the back of the standard chair, and straps G which may be threaded through a loop A1 and tightened to fit the travel chair to the standard chair. The side straps B1, B2 and tabs D1, D2 may comprise hook-and-loop fasteners B3, B4, D3, D4. The travel chair may be stored in a bag J when folded.

Description
The present invention relates to a foldable travel high chair in a bag.
The purpose of the high chair is to assist a baby or small child to sit firmly in a standard dining chair and provide a safe support whilst feeding or playing.
This foldable travel high chair is made from a machine washable cotton with wadding used as padding, the bag in which this neatly folds into is made from the same machine washable cotton with a draw string to tighten neck of bag.
The aim of the high chair is that it will attach to most dining chairs, firstly by attaching the side straps (Bi) & (B2) around the back of the dining chair, then sitting the baby onto the gusset panel (E) and folding the tabs (Dl) & (D2) around the baby and affixing the Velcro (03) to (04) then bringing up the panel (F) and wrap it around the baby and the back of the chair. Thread straps (Gl) & (G2) through the loop (Al) and affix clips (Hl)& (Ii) to clips (H2) & (12) at the back of the chair and tighten straps (GI),(G2) & (Al) accordingly so that it fit's the dining chair that it is now attached to.
The chair is made from section of material which are then stitched together to make one piece. The measurements given are approximate as this is a handmade prototype so the dimensional tolerances have not yet been set. I have listed the full measurements of the prototype item to give a rough idea of the size of the item and they are as follows: Webbing strap (Al) measures 750mm at its longest this can be shortened accordingly and is 30mm wide.
Side straps (BI) & (B2) are both 350mm long and 45mm wide.
Velcro (B3) & (B4) attached to side straps measure I 75mmlong 20mm wide.
Back panel (C) measures 445mm long 280mm wide.
Side tabs (Dl) & (D2) measure 250mm long 150mm wide Velcro (D3) & (D4) attached to side tabs measure 165mm long 50mm wide Gusset panel (E) measures 300mm long 130mm wide Panel (F) measures 590mm long 135mm wide Webbing straps (GI), (G2), (G3) & (G4) measure 44mm long 20mm wide The bag (J) measures 375mm long 270mm wide.
Clips used are one 35mm (Al) & (A2) and 2 clips (Hl),(H2) & (ll),(12) which are 30mm.
The string on the draw string bag may change so that it also attaches at the bottom corner to provide a carry strap. The invention is the item used as a high chair the bag itself may vary if possible. Folding travel high chair

  1. Folding Travel high chair Claims 1. This is for a folding travel high chair that comes in its own bag, the high chair comprises of a padded material structure with adjustable fixings which enable the high chair to be attached to a dining chair.
  2. 2. The folding travel high chair as in claim 1 is attached to a standard dining chair by Velcro padded straps.
  3. 3. The folding travel high chair as in claim 1 the child is held in position securely with a padded Velcro straps.
  4. 4. The folding travel high chair as in claim 1 is also held firmly in place by adjustable straps and clips.
  5. 5. The folding travel high chair as in claim 1 is made for the purpose of the high chair is to assist a baby or small child to sit firmly in a standard dining chair and provide a safe support whilst feeding or playing.
