Description

Description
Fork-lift truck with an electric battery drive system The invention relates to a fork-lift truck, in particular counterbalance fork-lift truck, with an electnc battery drive system and a battery compartment for receiving a battery block, wherein the battery compartment is formed on a rear portion of the fork-lift truck opposing a load part, the battery compartment being provided with a movable battery compartment cover, which, in an open position, allows a battery change It is known in electric battery-driven fork-lift trucks to arrange the battery block at the vehicle rear as an additional counterbalance. In order to protect the battery block during operation of the fork-lift truck and to avoid undesired contact with the battery pole terminals and the connection lines, a movable battery compartment cover is provided, which at least partially surrounds the battery block in a dosed position and/or covers it. In the open position of the battery compartment cover, a battery change is thus allowed, for example in the vertical direction or in the horizontal direction to the rear. The battery block can, for example, be lifted up out of the battery compartment or inserted downwardly into the battery compartment by means of a battery change harness fastened to a crane. In addition, it is possible to lift the battery block up from the battery compartment or insert it downwardly into the battery compartment by means of a further industrial truck with the fork prongs or to lift it out to the rear and insert it to the front. For this purpose, the battery block may, for example, be provided in the upper region with corresponding receiving pockets for the fork prongs or corresponding free spaces may be formed below the battery block in the battery compartment, Which the fork prongs can enter A vertical or horizontal battery change of this type is expensive, however, because of the crane to be used and the battery change harness or the further industrial truck.
The present invention is based on the object of providing a fork-lift truck of the type mentioned at the outset, which allows a universal battery change with a low structural outlay.
The object is achieved according to the invention in that the battery compartment cover is provided with at least one lateral opening, which, in the dosed position of the battery compartment cover, allows a lateral battery change in the horizontal direction.
In the fork-lift truck according to the invention, owing to the battery compartment cover provided with a lateral opening, in addition to a battery change in the vertical direction or horizontal direction to the rear with the battery compartment cover open, a horizontal battery change in the lateral direction is thus achieved via the lateral opening with the battery compartment cover closed. Thus, a lateral battery change can be achieved with a low additional structural outlay so the fork-lift truck allows a universal battery change with a low structural outlay.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the battery compartment cover is configured as a battery compartment door arranged so as to be pivotable about a substantially vertical pivot axis, which is provided with at least one lateral opening. With a battery compartment door arranged on the fork-lift truck so as to be pivotable about a vertical pivot axis, a change of the battery block in the vertical direction or horizontal direction to the rear can easily be achieved in the open position of the battery compartment door and a horizontal change of the battery block can be achieved in the lateral direction via the lateral opening in the closed position of the battery compartment door. The battery compartment door may be provided here on one lateral region with an opening or with a lateral opening in each case on the two opposing lateral regions, so a horizontal change of the battery block is easily allowed on either side of the fork-lift truck.
Particular advantages emerge when the battery compartment cover is formed, according to a further embodiment of the invention, by two battery compartment doors arranged so as to be pivotable about a substantially vertical pivot axis, in each case, at least one battery compartment door being provided with a lateral opening.
The battery compartment cover is therefore divided, for example, centrally into two battery compartment doors arranged on the fork-lift truck so as to be pivotable about a vertical pivot axis, in each case, so compact dimensions of the fork-lift truck can be achieved when the battery compartment doors are opened. Only one battery compartment door may be provided here with a lateral opening. If two battery compartment doors each with a lateral opening are provided, a horizontal change of the battery block on either side of the fork-lift truck can in turn be easily achieved.
If a drivers protection roof is provided, which extends at least partially above the battery compartment, according to a development of the invention, particular advantages are produced if the drivers protection roof is provided with a recess pointing in the direction of the load part in the region above the battery compartment.
With the recess of this type arranged in the drivers protection roof above the battery compartment, a free space is easily achieved above the battery compartment for a battery change harness, so a safe vertical change of the battery block is easily achieved.
The battery compartment is expediently provided with a rolling surface. With a rolling surface, a lateral change of the battery block in the horizontal direction can easily be allowed via the lateral opening of the battery compartment cover.
According to an advantageous development of the invention, the battery compartment cover in the region of the lateral opening is provided with a fastening means for the battery block. With a fastening means of this type, a slipping or rolling of the battery block out of the lateral opening as a result of a lateral incline of the fork-lift truck or centrifugal forces while travelling round a corner can be easily effectively avoided in the closed position of the battery compartment cover during operation of the fork-lift truck Moreover, advantages are produced if the battery compartment cover is provided with a locking means for the dosed position, so that, in conjunction with the fastening means for the battery block, a safe arrangement of the battery block inside the battery compartment is achieved in the closed position of the battery compartment cover during operation of the fork-lift truck The battery compartment is expediently arranged above a drive part of the fork-lift truck. Compact dimensions of the fork-lift truck configured as a counterbalance fork-lift truck are thus produced in the longitudinal direction, the counterbalance being formed by the drive part and the battery block arranged thereabove and with it being possible to configure the region between the drive part and the load part as an operating area, for example for a standing operator.
Further advantages and details of the invention are described in more detail with the aid of the embodiments shown in the schematic figures, in which: Fig. 1 shows a lateral view of a fork-lift truck configured according to the invention as a counterbalance fork-lift truck, Fig. 2 shows the counterbalance fork-lth truck according to the invention in a perspective view from behind with a dosed battery compartment cover and Fig. 3 shows a view according to Fig. 2 with an opened battery compartment cover.
Fig. 1 shows a fork-lift truck 1 according to the invention configured as a counterbalance fork-lift truck, which is provided with an electric battery drive system.
The fork-lift truck 1 has a load part 2, which comprises a lifting frame 3, on which a load receiving means 4 configured, for example, as a load fork, can be moved up and down The fork-lift truck 1 is provided in the region of the lifting frame 3 with front wheels 5 close to the load, configured as rollers.
Viewed in the longitudinal direction of the fork-lift truck 1, opposing the load part 2, the fork-lift truck 1 has a rear portion 6. The rear portion 6 comprises a drive part 7, in which a rear drive wheel B which is remote from the load, is arranged, which can be driven in a manner not further shown by means of a propulsion motor and can be steered by means of an electric or hydraulic steering drive. In addition, the drive part 7 has a lifting drive, not further shown, for example a lifting hydraulics unit, by means of which the load receiver means 4 arranged on the lifting frame 3 can be moved up and down.
Arranged on the rear portion 6 above the drive part 7 is a battery compartment 9, in which a battery block 10 is arranged. The rear portion 6 comprising the drive part 7 and the battery compartment 9 provided with the battery block 10 forms a counterbalance of the fork- lift truck 1 here. The battery compartment 9 is arranged here in the transverse direction of the fork-lift truck 1, so the battery block 10 arranged in the battery compartment 9 extends substantially over the entire vehicle width Configured between the load part 1 formed by the lifting frame 2 and the rear portion 6 of the fork-lift truck 1 formed as a counterbalance and comprising the drive part 7 and the battery compartment 9, viewed in the longitudinal direction of the fork-lift truck 1, is an operating area 11 with a driver's standing platform 12 for a standing operator The driver's standing platform 12 extends over the entire vehicle width here.
Arranged above the operating area 11 is a drivers protection roof 13, which extends from the load part 1 to the rear portion 6 and is arranged at least partially over the battery compartment 9.
According to the invention, the battery compartment 9 is provided with a battery compartment cover 15, which has at least one lateral, in particular rectangular recess, which is adapted to the dimensions of the battery block 9 and forms an opening 16, which in the closed position of the battery compartment cover 15 allows a lateral change of the battery block 9 in the horizontal direction.
The battery compartment cover 15 -as can be seen from Fig. 2 -is divided centrally with respect to the longitudinal central axis of the fork-lift truck 1 and comprises two battery compartment doors 17a, 17b, wthch are rotatably arranged, in each case, about a substantially vertical pivot axis 18a, 18b at the outer regions of the fork-lift truck 1. In the closed position shown in Fig. 2 of the battery compartment doors 1 7a, 1 7b, a lateral change of the battery block 10 in the horizontal direction 20 is easily allowed via the lateral opening 16 in the battery compartment door 17a. Apart from the battery compartment door ha, the battery compartment door 17b may also be provided with a recess, so a lateral opening 16 is available in each case on the two sides of the fork-lift truck 1 and when the battery compartment doors 17a, 17b are closed, a lateral change of the battery block 9 in the horizontal direction 20 on either side of the fork-lift truck 1 is made possible.
In the fork-lift truck 1 shown in Fig. 3, the battery compartment doors 1 7a, 1 7b are pivoted about the pivot axes 18a, 18b into an open position. With battery compartment doors I 7a, 1 7b open and therefore the battery compartment cover 15 open, a battery change in the vertical direction 21 is allowed here. A battery change harness 22 fastened to a crane, which is fastened to the battery block 10 by means of hooks, can be used for this purpose. The dnver1s protection roof 13 is provided here in the region above the battery compartment 9 with a cut- out 23 for the battery change harness 22, which is configured, for example, as a V-shaped cut-out 23 facing the load part 1.
In addition, the battery block 10 -as shown in Fig. 3 -may be configured with receiving pockets 27 for the fork prongs of a further industrial truck in order, with the battery compartment doors 1 Ta, 1 Tb open, to lift the battery block 10 out from the battery compartment 9 in the vertical direction 21 or in the horizontal direction 28 to the rear, or to insert it, by means of a further industrial truck. Instead of or in addition to the receiving pockets 27, it is also possible to configure corresponding free spaces below the battery block 9 in the battery compartment 9, which the fork prongs of a further industrial truck can enter to change the battery block 9 in the vertical direction 21 or in the horizontal direction 28 to the rear.
For the lateral battery change in the horizontal direction 20 shown in Fig. 2, with the battery compartment doors 1 7a, 1 7b closed, the battery compartment 9 may be provided with a rolling surface 24 comprising a plurality of rollers, on which surface the battery block 10 can be pushed out or pushed in in the horizontal direction 20 laterally via the opening 16 from the battery compartment 9.
To secure the battery block 10 in the battery compartment 9 in the lateral direction during operation of the fork-lift truck 1 with the battery compartment doors 1 7a, 1 7b closed and to prevent a lateral sliding of the battery block 9, a fastening means 25 configured, for example, as a pivotable bar, for the battery block 10, can be provided in each case on the battery compartment doors 1 7a, I 7b in the region of the lateral opening 16.
The battery compartment doors 17a, 17b are also provided with a locking means 26 configured, for example, as a snap closure or lock, with which the battery compartment doors 1 7a, 1 7b can be kept in the closed position
