Abstract

A tricycle can be folded up completely into a luggage trolley by quick release clamps and then can be easily pulled around onto public transport or into shops &c without the need to carry. A front wheel 11 and column 13 is folded into a frame 10 and the resultant trolley uses the rear wheels 7. Pedals 2 or an electric motor are provided.

Folding Trolley Tricycle This invention takes the folding bicycle concept to the next stage.
This Tricycle folds into a pull along luggage trolley.
The normal foldaway bicycle although a good product has to be carried when folded into its smallest size this can lead to all sorts of issues when carried for some distance, or if you are using public transport, or maybe you would like to a bit of shopping.
It is also not very user friendly when used by females, or by anybody who cannot carry with ease although lightweight it is still a burden for them.
This invention allows the Tricycle to be folded into trolley, it does not have to be carried but pulled on the Tricycles rear wheels like a luggage trolley where it can be taken into shops do your shopping and carry it in extra space that is available in the trolley compartment. With the rear wheels of the Tricycle being larger than a normal trolley most steps and bumps are easily negotiated and just as easy to take onto a train or bus the same as shopping trolley or luggage trolley.
The Invention is described by reference to accompanying drawings.
Drawing I Shows the total side view of the Folding Trolley Tricycle.
1/1 main rear support section folds in two places allows section to fold into the trolley body.
1/2 Pedal arrangement that also folds up into the trolley body.
1/6 Saddle removable when not in use to leaves access to the trolley handle for pulling trolley.
1/7 Two rear wheels one each side of trolley.
1/8 Handlebars that slide down and twists into stem for storage into the trolley body.
1/9 Two quick release clamping and folding devices.
1/10 Main trolley frame.
1/11 Front wheel of Tricycle.
1/12 Front main frame support.
1/13 Front wheel fork and handlebars stem.

Claims (2)

  1. Claims A folding tricycle that folds into a luggage trolley that can be wheeled easily around when folded and when in use as a Tricycle can be ridden with ease by pedal power or cruise along with electric assistance via motors. Added stability because of 3 wheels.

    A folding Tricycle according to claim 1 that does not have to be carried.
    A folding Tricycle according to claim 1 that can easily be taken onto public transport and even into shops.
    A folding Tricycle according according to claim 1 that can be unfolded into tricycle and use conventional pedal power to rear wheels for power.
    A folding Tricycle according to claim 1 that can be unfolded into a tricycle and driven by electric motor power to rear wheels.
