Abstract

An inflatable ride-on toy for children is provided which is constructed from ballistic nylon. The toy contains a rigid floor 1 which is secured to a plate 3 via connectors 4, 5. The plate is connected to a metal rod 6 which performs a rocking motion by the rotation of an electrially-powered drive mechanism mounted on a base. The ride-on toy can comprise interchangeable designs.

BACKGROUND
I wanted to design a motion ride for small children which could be used safely in the home. I wanted it to be soft and comfortable. I wanted to design a system whereby it could be fixed securely to the base. The ride-on could be changed and adapted by fixing a different character or design onto the base.
STATEMENT OF INVENTION
An inflatable ride-on toy fixed to a base which houses a motorised rocking motion.

ROCKING MOTION WHEN AFFIXED TO THE MOTORISED BASE
The SuperRider is an inflatable ride-on toy for a child (1) It consists of an interchangeable inflatable toy (examples of suggested designs (2 & 3) which is made from strong ballistic nylon. It is attached securely to a rocking mechanism (6, 1) which housed inside the base (6).
It is proposed that the ride-on is manufactured from ballistic nylon and is inflated by the parent or carer means of a pump (5a).
It is proposed that a rigid floor (4,1) is placed inside the inflated ride-on and then secured to the metal plate of the base (4, 3) by means of passing 4 bolts (5, 4) through the holes (4, 2) and then securing them tightly with a nut fixing (5, 5).
It is proposed that the metal base plate (5, 3) is welded to the rocking movement (4, 4) by means of a metal rod (5, 6).
It is proposed that the motor which drives the metal rod (5, 6) is driven by a 6 volt rechargeable battery and that the unit is operated via remote control by the parent or carer.
The specifications for the machine base (6, 4), DC motor (6, 2), drive mechanism (6, 3) and housing specifications are to be determined at manufacturing process.
