Loaded cables; cables and conductors, machines, apparatus, and processes for making. - In uniformly loaded conductors comprising a winding of magnetic material around a conductor, the latter is formed of polygonal crosssection so as to avoid stressing the loading material when it is subjected to the annealing process. In the construction shown in Fig. 2, the conductor is formed by flat wires b wound about a core a. When the loading band c is wound on, spaces are left for the expansion of the conductor during the annealing process.
