Abstract

Sound waves are used to locate the sources of rattles, noises or buzzes due to loose or misaligned items, such as trim in vehicles or in the home or office. An audio CD, DVD, cassette or other media file containing tones such as sine waves, square waves, sawtooth waves, white noise, pink noise or triangle waves at frequencies between 30 Hz and 120 Hz is played to induce vibration in the items causing the rattles, noises or buzzes. This enables the locations of the rattles, noises and buzzes to be identified whilst a vehicle is stationary. The tones may be stored digitally as MP3 or way files.

invention relates to a device for locating loose items, misaligned trim induced rattles, buzzes or noises in the interior of cars, vans, busses, coaches, aircraft, trains, or any vehicle It can also be used to locate the rattles, buzzes or noises in the home or office.
The present invention uses sound to disturb the item causing the rattle, noise or buzz, enabling the identification and location of the problem. The invention must be used at various volume levels to enable detection of the problem noise or buzz without being louder than the induced noise being located. It also requires the use of a CD, DVD, audio cassette, media player, or other audio device to play the invention.
The use of this invention enables interior noises or rattles to be located whilst the vehicle is stationary preventing possible on road, or in motion collisions, potentially causing an accident. The user should use this invention whilst moving around the stationary vehicle interior to locate the induced noise or rattle. Claim

Claims (3)

1. The use of Sine wave, Square wave, Sawtooth wave, White Noise, Pink
Noise, or Triangle waves between 30hz and 120hz used to vibrate loose or misaligned items or fittings to recreate rattles, noises, or buzzes.
2. An audio CD, DVD, Cassette, or media file according to claim 1, containing a selection of tones produced separately at different frequencies.
3. An audio CD, DVD, Cassette, or media file according to claim 1 containing MP3, Way, or digital sound file containing.
