Abstract

The In-Car Pet Temperature Alarm is a device that warns the pet owner(s) when a vehicle is getting too hot internally for a pet to be able to cope with excess heat that has been generated by outside weather conditions. The alarm has a transmitter for a mobile phone network to send a text message to a mobile phone handset. The transmitter may alternatively be able to communicate with a receiver attached to a key ring for non mobile handset users. The device may trigger every 5 minutes until the reset by a button on the device. Multiple telephone numbers may be stored by the alarm. The device may also be suitable for protecting pets kept in greenhouses, caravans and conservatories.

Description

* 2449261 In-Car Pet Temperature Alarm Objective Every year a number of
pets die or suffer heat exhaustion from people leaving their beloved pets in their cars during the warm weather without realising implications.
This can cause sunburn, heatstroke and ultimately death of the pet in question as they cannot dissipate heat in the same way as humans. Most owners would be unaware a pet will go through certain distress levels before it reaches the situation where it becomes a fatality making this a very cruel and long suffering process.
In-Car Pet Temperature Alarm -Description
The In-Car pet Temperature Alarm is an electronic device that has been invented to combat the suffering of any pet being transported within a vehicle and evaluating the situation where the weather has changed and temperatures can rise without prior warning.
Using mobile phone network technology the In-Car Pet Temperature Alarm works by installing a transmitter in the vehicle where the pet is to reside, the transmitter is universal so it will fit in any make of car, van or other transportation. Using the pet owners existing mobile phone the transmitter will automatically, when activated send a text message aJert to the mobile phone handset to advise that this has been triggered due the heat inside the vehicle is higher than the tolerance recommended.
The device will also come with as standard a small receiver to be placed about a person (keyring for example) for non mobile phone users.
The transmitter will contain a thermostat to monitor the conditions of heat inside the vehicle and will be set off before the temperature reaches a level where the pet becomes distressed, enabling the pet owner(s) to return to the vehicle in good time to take the appropriate action to cool or remove the pet from the vehicle. The transmitter once set off will continue to send an alert message to the user's mobile phone handset every 5 minutes until the reset button has been pressed on the transmitter which resides inside the car.
There will be the facility of having up to 3 mobile phone numbers stored in the transmitter for shared responsibility.
