Abstract

A floor cleaning tool comprises and mop 5 and a scouring arrangement 1. The mop may be made up of micro-fibre stands 5 while the scourer 1 may be either nylon or steel. Both the mop head 6 and the scourer 1 are removable from the handle assembly (9, fig 1).

Description

DUAL MOP
This invention is a simple device used to wet clean floors using one tool.
This duo mop will remove stubborn dirt the conventional mop leaves behind.
DiSc.RPr,v,u Fo,o 1Cf C,t" The mop can be manipulated with a flick of the wrist enabling the scourer 1. to attack the dirt left behind The use of 2 varying degrees of abrasion of the scourer 1 will be determined by the type of flooring to be cleaned.
Two mop heads will be manufactured.
A. The scourer l.will be made of a steel abrasive material for use on stone or ceramic tile floors Coupled with the plurality of micro fibre stands 5.stubbom stains can be attacked at both levels with the minimum of effort.
13. A less abrasive form of scourer 1.such as nylon will be attached for laminate or vynil flooring. This would be an added benefit which would work well with the plurality of micro fibre sirands.5, The main body of the mop head has a socket 4. formed on the base cenire to receive the scourer plate which in turn will secure the plurality of micro fibre strands 5. to the main structure 6. simultaneously. YA. n Lc&tz.o4, cJ t The mop head has a threaded socket 7.element formed at the upper side for screw in handle.9, The mop handle has a loop for hanging and storage at top end.1O 11. Mop in use with scourer in action. / Ce:
The scourer will be fused to a plate a which in turn is fixed to the main body 6.
Of the mop.
The plurality of micro fibre strands 5. Will be fixed around the main body 5.
of the mop head.
The scourer plate 3. Being applied to the centre socke4. For extra strength and secured with adhesive to main body plate5. Securing the micro fibre strands simultaneously.
The handle 9.WiJl screww into the threaded 7. Socket.
The mop may be stored by loop on handle.io.
